This is to confirm that an antenna connected to above mentioned Antenna


Tuning Units for the Thrane & Thrane produced system 5000 MF/HF radios
405150-THRxx / 405250-THRxx / 405500-THRxx, will be grounded in respect of
the electrical DC-path, through the antenna coupler circuitry, when the system is
powered down, thus avoiding build-up of static electricity on the antenna, and
that bleeder facilities is active during normal standby / receive mode limiting the
static voltage to a level not coursing flashovers etc.
To avoid transmission during cargo handling the radios can be configured to
have ‘TX inhibit enabled’ to block transmission by means of a separate switch
giving indication in the CU5100 display showing ‘Transmitter Inhibited’.

Action:

Power down sequence to ground the antenna is described in the user manual
TT-98-124350-THR-A, and the configuration procedures is described in the
technical manual TT-98-124351-THR-A. Both available at the T&T extra net.
