UNIT 1: HOBBIES
Lesson 1: Getting started – My favourite hobby

I. PROFILE:
- Lesson: Getting started Unit 1, Global Success English 7
- Class size: 30 students of class 7C2 (level B1)
- Duration: 45 minutes
II. ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE:
- Students have already learned some structures to express likes and dislikes from the textbook
English Discovery 6.
- Students have learned some vocabulary related to the topic hobbies.
III. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- Gain an overview about the topic Hobbies
- Learn some vocabulary to talk about hobbies
2. Core competence
- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and teamwork
- Actively join in class activities
3. Personal qualities
- Love talking about their hobbies
IV. TEACHING AIDS:
- Grade 7 textbook
- Computer connected to the Internet
- Projector
V. ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS:
- Ss may lack experience of group / team work, T should give short, clear instructions, and help if
necessary.
- There may be a lack of time, T can use backup activities.

Aims: - To help Ss revise the structures they’ve learned.
