1] will you be giving free certification code as well

Hi, you will receive the voucher in about 5 workdays, and don't forget to check
your spam folder! The voucher will be valid for 3 months but we advise to take the
exam while the information from today is still fresh :) If you don't receive a
voucher, contact us on https://aka.ms/wheresmyvoucher

3] could you please explain the exact different betweem availability zone and set?

Let me try and explain it with an example, if it helps. Availability sets are a way
for you to ensure your application remains online if a high-impact maintenance
event is required, or a hardware a failure occurs, in the same datacentre(remember
within 1 datacentre). Availability sets are made up of Update domains and Fault
domains (used for Fault tolerance or downtime). These are separate physical devices
in the same datacentre. Availability Zone, on the other hand, is an isolation
boundary containing one or more datacentres equipped with independent power,
cooling, and networking.

4] example for iaas,paas,saas?

Let me try with an example here. IAAS, you rent IT infrastructure servers and
virtual machines (VMs), storage, networks, and operating systems from a cloud
provider on a pay-as-you-go basis. when deploying a web application using PaaS, you
don't have to install an operating system, web server, or even system updates.
Saas, allows users to connect to and use cloud-based apps over the internet. Common
examples are email, calendars, and office tools such as Microsoft Office 365. If
you understand the table Matt showed, you will understand what areas you will
manage and the cloud provider will in each of these examples. Hope this helps :)

5] Exam will be conducted as an assignment task to be submitted later or live on
some portal?

It's a live exam proctored using your mic and camera. You can take this exam from
home or office. Check out the exam policies on

---------------------------------------------------------
6] Hi, really enjoying the course so far :). Looking to do the AZ-900 but never
done a Microsoft exam before. Understand you have to do this via webcam, but can
you use your own notes from this course/research if they are printed out?

No. This wont be an open book exam, so you are not allowed to take any notes,
papers, or material with you during the exam. Please read more on this on
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/certification-exam-policies

What is the support email for details regarding the free voucher? In the past,
there have been severe delays in getting the voucher so a point of contact would be
great in case that happens again.

10] Difference between IPSEC and Expressroute ?

IPSEC is a connection protocol typically used over a virtual private network to

encrypt traffic. Express Route is a private connection that offers high speed and
low latency. Traffic sent over an Express Route circuit isn't encrypted.
-------------------------------------------------------------
11] Please share difference between tenant and subscription ?

A tenant can be thought of as the Azure Active Directory where you create your
users and groups to manage your subscriptions.
-------------------------------------------------------------
12] Does Azure AD automatically interface with AD? As in, does disabling an user
from AD disable them in Azure AD too?

If you disable the AD account it will prevent you from logging in using the Azure
AD replicated account, effectively disabling the account.
-------------------------------------------------------------
13] what was priority there?

A number between 100 and 4096. Rules are processed in priority order, with lower
numbers processed before higher numbers. In this case 3389 TCP Deny which is on top
of the list.
------------------------------------------------------------
14] NSG = default is deny until you have created the rules?

Correct although there are certain rules that are enabled such enabling traffic
from a load balancer, and outbound internet access. More info on the default rules
can be found at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-network/security-
overview#default-security-rules

Resource Locks ----------- Important

Talks - Brad Smith
---------------------------------------------------------------
15] Can resources be locked from being deleted?"

Yes, a resource lock will help you prevent accidental deletion.

---------------------------------------------------------------
16] to use azure services, credit card details would be asked right, so i don't
have a credit card, wont a debit card work?

Unfortunately, credit card is required for subscription unless you or your

organisation already has and account with Microsoft. Students might be provided a
different option as well. I am sure Debit card from most of the banks would work as
well.
