Course Description

An Introduction to Christian Philosophy of Life embraces three very important components:


Philosophy of Life, Education, and Christian Life as related to education and teaching. The science,
art, and discipline of these three dimensions are interwoven in the course that a wholistic view of
what a true Christian philosophy of Life is will be internalized and actualized by those concerned:
the school managers, the teachers, the students, and even the parents.

Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, students should be able to:

1. Familiarize different Philosophical concepts based on the Christian philosophy of education


and the Christian principles of life;
2. Identify the nature of man and align the educative processes in consonance with man’s
nature;
3. Respond to different challenges of Christianity in the present time such as institutional,
ethical, doctrinal, political, and cultural and be able to respond to each challenge positively;
4. Recognize the various philosophies of education and identify the true philosophy;
5. Relate concepts, theories, principles, and philosophies learned to real life situations;
6. Envision a better world using the theories, concepts, principles, and philosophies learned.
