UI Rebranding
Objective:
The UI Rebranding contest challenges participants to showcase their creativity
and design skills by redesigning/improving the existing UI of (Brand name) into
their own unique design.

Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Registration Fee is Rs.100.
 No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous,
fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.

Flow of the Program:

 Introduction and Briefing:


The competition will commence with an introduction to the rules and
regulations of the competition. Participants will be briefed on the process,
judging criteria, and awards that will be presented to the winners.

 Competition:
Participants will be given a time duration of one and half hour to work on
their designs. Each participant has to work on their own project, and no
extra time will be given to any student. Half an hour will be given to take
inspiration from the internet and an hour to rebrand the given UI.

 Awards:
The winner of the contest will receive a trophy, certificate, and goodies.
The other two runners-up will receive certificates and goodies.
Rules

 Eligibility:
The contest is open to all students who are currently enrolled in an
accredited college or university. And they must be familiar with Figma’s
software.

 Submission Requirements:
Each participant must submit a single design in Figma format. The design
must include a new UI for the (Brand name).

 Time Limit:
The competition will have a set time limit of one hour. No additional time
will be given to any participant.

 Collaboration:
Participants must work on their own projects and are not allowed to
collaborate with other contestants. Any participant caught collaborating
with others will be disqualified.

 Code of Conduct:
All participants are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations set forth
by the organizers of the competition. Any violations may result in
disqualification.

 Disqualification:
Any participant found violating the rules and regulations of the competition
will be disqualified from the contest, and their submissions will not be
considered for the awards. The decision of the judges will be final and
binding.

Judgement Criteria:

● Ux/visuals: Visual design is about implementing text, colors, and images


in a way that enhances a design or interaction.
● Color Schemes: This term refers to colors that are grouped near each other
on the color wheel.

● Appeal: A pleasant visual appeal will create a positive user experience.

● Fonts: The professionalism in the UI design can be defined using the better
fonts i.e. professional and readable at the same time.
Deb Derby
Code Debugging Competition

Objective:
The objective of the code debugging competition named "Deb Derby" is
to challenge participants to identify and fix errors in a set of code as
quickly and efficiently as possible. By participating in the competition,
programmers can improve their ability to analyze code and identify
common coding mistakes, while also honing their debugging skills. The
competition also aims to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
among participants, as they work together to solve complex
programming challenges.

Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Registration Fee is Rs.100.
 No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous,
fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.

Format:

● This is an On-Campus contest that puts forward a series of programs in


C/Java/ Python with very trivial and subtle errors (bugs) on a set of files.
● The participant would have to identify the bugs and debug the code to get
the correct/appropriate output for all valid test cases.
● The event will be conducted in 2 phases.
Scheduled Activities:

● Introduction and briefing: At the start of the competition, the emcee will
introduce the participants and explain the rules and format of the
competition. The judges and technical coordinators may also provide an
overview of the judging criteria and technical requirements.
● Practice round: Participants may be given a practice round to familiarize
themselves with the competition format and software tools they will be
using. This round is typically not scored.
● Elimination rounds: Depending on the number of participants, there may
be one or more elimination rounds where the lowest-scoring participants
are eliminated from the competition. The remaining participants will
advance to the next round.
● Final round: The final round will typically feature the top-scoring
participants from the elimination rounds. The final round may be more
challenging or have higher stakes than the previous rounds. The winner of
the final round is typically declared the overall winner of the competition.

Rules:

● Eligibility: Participants must be registered students of the institution


hosting the competition or any other institution if specified.
● Team Size: Participants can participate individually or in teams of two or
three members.
● Code to Debug: The competition will provide code with errors or bugs that
need to be fixed. The code will be provided in the form of a document, and
the participants will have to download and debug the code.
● Time Limit: The competition will have a specified time limit, and the
participants must debug the code within the given time limit.
● Penalties: Penalties will be imposed for late submissions.
● Submission: Participants must submit their solutions within the specified
time limit. The submissions can be made in any format specified in the
competition rules, such as through email or online submission portals.
● Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism, including copying code from other
sources, will lead to disqualification.
● Tiebreaker: In case of a tie, the winner will be decided based on the time
taken to complete the debugging.
● Code Ownership: The code provided for debugging remains the property
of the competition organizers, and the participants cannot copy or
distribute the code outside of the competition.
● IDE: Replit
Disqualification: The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant
who violates the rules or code of conduct.

First Round:
1. The first round will be an eliminating round.
2. In this round, participants have to fix the errors in the pre-written code.
3. The round consists of a few story-based problems on Replit with their
respective team names.
4. Introduction and briefing: All participants are gathered and given an
overview of the competition, including the rules and format. They are also
briefed on the specifics of the first round.
5. Distribution of programs: Each participant is given a set of programs
written in C/ Python / Java with subtle bugs to identify on Replit IDE.
6. Time limit: Participants are given a set amount of time i.e. 50 minutes to
correct the bugs present in the code.
7. Submission and evaluation: After the time limit expires, participants are
asked to submit their debugged programs to the judges for evaluation. The
judges will test the programs using a set of test cases to ensure that the
fixes are correct.
8. Scoring: Participants are scored based on the number of programs they
successfully debugged within the given time limit. If multiple participants
successfully debug the same number of programs, the judges may also
evaluate the quality of the fixes to determine the top performers.
9. Announcement of results: The top-scoring participants are announced
and invited to proceed to the next round of the competition.
10. Overall, the first round of the competition is designed to be
challenging but manageable, allowing participants to showcase their
debugging skills and qualify for the next round.
Second Round:

1. The second round consists of new code snippets with syntax & logical bugs
on Replit.
2. An anonymous intruder will insert bugs into your codes.
3. The participants need to analyse the code and correct it in a way such that
the least changes are made to the code.
4. In case of a tie, the time of solution submission will be the criteria for a tie-
breaker decision of the coordinators will be final.
5. Introduction and briefing: Participants who have qualified for the second
round are gathered and given an overview of the format and rules of the
round.
6. Distribution of statements: Each participant is given statements with code
that contain multiple subtle errors (bugs). The statements may be written
in C/Java/Python on Replit.
7. Time limit: Participants are given 45 minutes to debug each statement.
8. Submission and evaluation: After the 45 minutes are up, participants are
asked to submit their debugged statements to the judges for evaluation.
9. Scoring: Participants are scored based on the number of statements they
successfully debugged within the given time limit. If multiple participants
successfully debug the same number of statements, the judges may also
evaluate the quality of the fixes to determine the top performers.
10.Announcement of results: The top 3 scoring participants are announced
and awarded.
11.Feedback: Judges may provide feedback to all participants on their
performance in the second round, including tips and suggestions for
improving their debugging skills.

Judgement Criteria:
● All the problems have the same points allotted to them.
● The team which secures 100 points will be declared as the winner.
● Participants are ranked according to the most problems solved. Ties will
be broken by the total time for each user in ascending order of time.
● In the case of teams who are unable to completely remove all the bugs,
higher preference will be given to the team which removes more bugs.
● The decision of the organizers in declaring the results will be final. No
queries in this regard will be entertained.
WordSmith
Overview:
 The participants will be displayed with keywords for two minutes on the
projector which they may note down to use eventually.
 Using the given keywords participants have to frame an innovative and
attractive story within 30 minutes.

Eligibility:
The competition is open for all the students of all courses.

Rules:
 Use innovative ideas to make your story attractive and creative.
 Use of mobile phones or any other electronic device is prohibited.
 The story should be unique. Copying of content is not allowed. If found, it
shall lead to disqualification of the participant.
 Word limit of the story should be 300-500 words.
 You have to carry your own pens for the competition.
 Use of only blue and black pen is allowed.

Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Registration Fee is Rs.100.
 Any incomplete, false, erroneous, fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will
not be considered.
Code of Conduct
Competition:
 Each competition has a rule set of its own that cannot be changed or
modified. Any changes or modifications made to the rule book can only
happen with the consent of conveners.

 Participants cannot ask for a change in the rules while the competition is
ongoing. All the participants entering the competition must follow all the
rules and regulations.

 Timings of the competition are set beforehand by coordinators. You are


advised to adhere to the timings. Any delays made on the part of the team
shall not be excused.

 Cheating in any form is not permitted. Use of any form of online content
from any source is not permissible to the participants. It shall lead to
immediate disqualification of the participant from the competition.

Behavior:
 The participants, at all times during the competition, must observe the
highest standards of integrity and professionalism and always act in a
manner consistent with the best interest of coordinators and the participants
themselves.

 The participants are required to behave professionally while interacting


with other competitors, organizers.

 No use of direct aggression and insults towards fellow participants and any
other member who is part of the competition. This includes:

 Written or verbal abuse


 Offensive hand gestures
 Use of language, nicknames, or any other expression that insults any
other participant’s gender, gender identity, origin, physical ability,
sexual orientation, religion, or age;
 Any act which is threatening or violent.
Use of any above-mentioned aggression and insults shall lead to
disqualification of the participant with immediate effect. No
participation certificate shall be awarded.

 If a participant is angry at a loss, he/she shall not take it out on other


teammates or look for ways to pass the blame.

Judgement Criteria:
The participants will be judged on the following basis:

 FLUENCY: The story written by participants should be fluent in terms of


writing.

 VOCABULARY: Vocabulary used by the participants should be correct.

 INNOVATION: The innovative ideas written by participants holds


particular marks.

 ORIGINALITY: The amount of originality a story holds.

 RELEVANCY: The story written by a participant should be relevant to


the keywords provided to them.
ClueMinati
General:
Treasure hunt, the idea of hunting for hidden treasures has always been exciting
and adventurous. In treasure hunt, participants work in small teams to find the
treasure with the help of given clues. The team who decodes the clue and finds
the treasure first will win the game. Treasure hunts have their roots in scavenger
hunts, where participants search for items on a list. However, treasure hunts set
themselves apart by providing clues to guide the search for the treasure.

Eligibility:
The competition is open for all the students of all courses and colleges.

Rules:
 All the participants must join the WhatsApp group.
 A group should contain exactly 5 Students.
 A group has to clear each stage to reach the final quest and attend it.
 Causing disturbance to another team would lead to disqualification.

Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Each applicant must enter the required information on the registration
form.
 Registration Fee is Rs.250 per group.(Group of 5 members)
 No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous,
fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.
Code of Conduct:

Competition:

 Each competition has a rule set of its own that cannot be changed or

Concept of the Competition:

 There will be a total of 3 rounds.


 The first round will be the quiz round, where all teams will compete. The
time limit for this round will be 15 minutes. In this round, the teams that
answer correctly and quickly will advance to the next round. The first
teams to answer correctly will be selected to proceed to the next round,
other teams will be eliminated. The selected teams will be given a clue card
for the second round.
 The second round will be a fun task round, and the time limit for this round
will be 10 minutes. The teams that passed the quiz round will compete
against each other in the fun task round. The winners of this round will be
given a clue card to advance to the final round, other teams will be
eliminated.
 The final round will be a treasure hunt. Every team will be given the same
clue, and they will have to use it to locate the treasure box.
 The first team to find the treasure box will be declared the winner of the
competition.
 There will be only one winning team.
Behavior

 Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity


and professionalism throughout the competition. They must always act
in a manner consistent with the best interests of the coordinators and
fellow participants.

TRY TO LOGIN
Overview:
The event "Try to Login" is a Cyber security competition designed to test the
skills of participants in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in a simulated
web application. Participants will be required to gain unauthorized access to the
system by exploiting vulnerabilities in the login mechanism.

Eligibility:
The event is open to anyone interested in cyber security and web application
security. Participants has to register individually.

Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Registration Fee is Rs.100.
 No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous,
fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.

Equipment:
Participants are required to bring their own laptops with the necessary software
installed, including a web browser, a text editor, and a web application scanner.

Judgement Criteria:
Points will be awarded based on the level of access gained by the participant. The
participant who gains the highest level of access in the shortest amount of time
will be declared the winner.
Rules:
 Participants must only attempt to exploit the vulnerabilities in the
simulated web application provided by the organizers. Attempts to exploit
other systems or networks are strictly prohibited and may result in
disqualification and legal consequences.
 Participants must not engage in any activity that could cause harm to the
web application, including but not limited to denial-of-service attacks or
data destruction.
 Participants can go for any attack, they wish to exploit vulnerability.
 Participants must respect the privacy of other participants and refrain from
sharing sensitive information obtained during the competition.
 Any form of cheating or collaboration between participants is strictly
prohibited and may result in disqualification.
 Participants must comply with all instructions provided by the organizers
and follow ethical hacking guidelines.
 The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates
the rules or engages in unethical behaviour.

In conclusion, it is essential to conduct web application penetration testing


with proper authorization and follow ethical guidelines. The primary
objective of such testing should be to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
in web applications, systems, and networks, and not to engage in any
malicious activities.
Innovative Idea Forum
Objective:

The objective for an innovative ideas forum would be to foster creativity,


collaboration, and ideation among participants to generate new and unique ideas
that can solve real-world problems and drive innovation. The forum should
encourage participants to share their diverse perspectives and experiences,
challenge existing assumptions and norms, and push the boundaries of what is
currently possible.

field and are currently enrolled in an educational institution or have
recently graduated.
● The research work should be original and not plagiarized.
● Introduce your ideas and explain how different your idea is from others.
● How useful and efficient your idea is for the society.
Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Registration Fee is Rs.100.
 No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous,
fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.

Judgement Criteria:
● Originality and significance of the research: The research paper should
present novel and important findings or insights that contribute to the
field of study.
● Clarity and organization: The paper should be well-organized and easy
to follow, with clear and concise language that effectively conveys the
research findings and their implications.
● Methodology and analysis: The research should be based on sound
methodology, with appropriate data collection and analysis methods used
to support the conclusions.
● Technical quality: The paper should be technically sound, with no errors
in spelling, grammar, or formatting.
● Significance of practical applications: If the research has practical
applications, the paper should demonstrate the potential impact and value
of the research for practitioners, policymakers, or other stakeholders.
● References and citations: The idea should properly acknowledge and
reference prior research in the field, demonstrating the author's
knowledge of the relevant literature and the contributions of the author.
TECH TALK
Objective:
Tech talk is the activity in which it cover a wide range of technical concepts and
ideas from how a technology or process works, that activity is worked in the
form of debate and the judgement is taken place by the confidence and the way
of explaining the topics by the participants.

Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Registration Fee is Rs.100.
 No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous,
fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.

Flow of the program

 Competition:

Participants have 6 minute to think and he/she start the debate by clicking
buzzer, and the judges will take their judgement by see participant
confidence and the way of explain the topics given, there is a box in which
some topics related to (it/tech) are present in the form of chits and the
judges will randomly pick out 1 chit and the team have to speak
(in/against) on that topic.
 Awards:
The winner of the contest will receive a trophy, certificate, and goodies.
The other two runners-up will receive certificates and goodies.

General Rules:
Welcome to Tech Talk! Here are some rules to keep in mind during our
discussions:

 Respect others: Everyone's opinion is valued and respected, even if we


don't agree with it. No personal attacks or insults are allowed.
 Stay on topic: Keep the discussion focused on the topic at hand. If you
want to talk about something else, wait for an appropriate time to bring
it up.
 Listen actively: When someone is speaking, listen actively and give them
your full attention. This means avoiding distractions like texting or
checking emails.
 Be concise: Make your point clearly and concisely. Rambling or going off
on tangents can derail the conversation and waste everyone's time.
 Provide evidence: When making a claim or argument, provide evidence to
support it. This could be in the form of data, research, or personal
experience.
 Be open to learning: We are all here to learn from each other, so be open
to new ideas and perspectives. Don't dismiss someone else's ideas
without considering them first.

Judgement Criteria
 The judgment criteria for Tech Talk discussions may include:
 Accuracy and factual correctness: Participants should provide accurate
information and support their claims with reliable sources.
 Relevance and depth of analysis: Participants should stay on topic and
provide thoughtful and insightful analysis of the topic at hand.
 Clarity and effectiveness of communication: Participants should
communicate their ideas clearly and effectively, using appropriate
language and avoiding jargon or technical terms that others may not
understand.

Respectful and constructive participation: Participants should engage in


respectful and constructive dialogue, avoiding personal attacks and
contributing positively to the conversation.
GAMING ARCADE
Overview:
1. BGMI (Team):
Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI, is a player-versus-player shooter
game in which up to 100 players compete in a battle royale, a type of
large-scale last-man-standing deathmatch in which players compete to be
the last one standing.

● Participation will be in a team of 4 players.


● It will be played in battle royale by a team of 4 players, in a lobby.
(Provided by us)
● The final round's top three players will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

2. Apex Legends:
Team up in tactical battle royale shooting games featuring Legendary
character-based gameplay, best-in-class squad battles, and fast-paced
combat.

● Participation will be solo.


● It will be played in rounds of 1v1.

● Winning players from each will be qualified for further rounds.

● The final round's top three players will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

3. Call of Duty (Mobile):


Call of Duty: Mobile (formerly known as Call of Duty: Legends of War,
and Elite Squad in its pre-alpha phase) is a free mobile first-person shooter.

 Participation will be either solo or in groups of five people.


 A team will be formed out of the solitary players.
● It will be played in rounds with 5 players in each room. (Provided by us)
● With five participants in each room, it will be played in rounds. (Offered
by Student’s- coordinators)
● Winning players from each room will be qualified for further rounds.
● The final round's top three players will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

General:
Punctuality-
All Teams & Players must be in the lobby of the custom room and be ready to
play no later than 5 minutes before the match starts. If a team is not ready they
will be penalised.

Penalty/Disqualification/Walkover-
Teams that are late/not present at the designated time of the match, are considered
to be Walkover. Teams that infringe on the rules will be punished and penalised.

Game Progression:
Registration:
● The registration cost is 50 Rs.
● Google Forms will be used for registration
● Participants must join using a personal account.
● Each participant can be a member of only one team in the tournament. (in
case of a team match)
● Team names and nicknames in the game must not contain any
explicit/vulgar words

After Registration:

 Players are responsible for their own internet connection in case of


problems in campus WI-FI.
 The use of VPNs and other supporting network connectivity applications
is not advisable.
Game Format:
 10.30 AM-11.30 PM - BGMI (Group)
 1.00 PM-2.00 PM - Apex Legends
 11:45 PM-12:45 PM - Call of Duty (mobile)

Scoring:

The participant will receive points in accordance with the degree of entry they
have attained. The winner is the competitor who completes the highest level of
entry in the shortest period of time.

Participants can contact the organisers for any queries or clarifications regarding
the event.

Match Rules:
General:
To maintain a healthy and fair e-sports ecosystem, it is important for players to
behave with a positive attitude towards the Tournament Admin and other
players throughout the event,

Competitive Integrity:
Soft play - Any agreement among participants to not play at a reasonable or
expected standard of competition in a game.
Prior arrangements to split prize money and any other forms of compensation

Hacking - Any modification of the game client, including using any 3rd party
apps to grant in-game advantages will lead to disqualification.

Intentional disconnect without any officials’ approval will be penalised.


Judgement Criteria:
Points will be awarded based on the level of access gained by the participant.
The participant who gains the highest level of access in the shortest amount of
time will be declared the winner.

Disclaimer:
Finality of Decision:
All decisions regarding the interpretation of these rules, player eligibility,
scheduling of the tournament, and penalties for misconduct, lie solely with
Event Admin, the decisions of which are final.

Rule Changes
These rules may be amended, modified or supplemented by Tournament
Admin, from time to time, in order to ensure fair play and the integrity of the
tournament.
TECH MAVEN
Objective:
Tech Maven is a just in minute (JAM) competition organized by the Trinity
Institute of Professional Studies, Dwarka for TECH SAMAAROH 3.0. The
competition consists of a set of algorithms problems which must be solved in a
fixed amount of time. This is a fun competition, where participants can show
their hidden talent.

Flow of the Program:

 Introduction and Briefing:


The competition will commence with an introduction to the rules and
regulations of the competition. Participants will be briefed on the process,
judging criteria, and awards that will be presented to the winners.

 Competition:
Participants will be given a time duration of one minute to perform each
task and have to upload their performed task videos on Instagram.

 Awards:
The winner of the contest will receive a trophy, certificate, and goodies.
The other two runners-up will receive certificates and goodies.

Registration:
 The registration for this event is only through Google form.
 The Last Date of registration is 15th March 2023.
 Registration Fee is Rs.100.
 No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous,
fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.
Rules:

 There will be a bowl of slips in which multiple tasks will be written, the
participants have to choose a slip and have to perform the task given in that
slip for a minute.
 In this event participants show their talent and skills and their video will be
uploaded on our Instagram handle i.e. TECH SAMAAROH 3.0. The video
