Chapter -1
Kite Exhibition
There were two kids who lived in an island called “Roseberry Island”.
They were Peter and Sam. Five days before Makar Sankranti they
whole island met up. As Makar Sankranti was coming up, everyone
planned of doing a kite competition in an exhibition hall. The
instructions were that everyone who wanted to compete would have
to make a kite and the contestant with the best kite would win. To
choose the winner everyone would vote on their favourite kite. The
kite with most votes would win. But the problem was that there were
no exhibition hall or any other large space available to execute this
competition. So, Sam and Peter took up the job of making an
exhibition hall. Everyone started their work including Sam and Peter.
Firstly, both of them went from house to house collecting used
materials which can be given away. Then they went to a jungle and
collected every single stick and fallen leaves they found. Now they
could finally get to work. Peter made the design while Sam made the
base structure with sticks and strong ropes. Soon the whole base got
covered by colourful clothes and other decorative items they had
collected. Finally Makar Sankranti came by. Everyone put their kites
in the handmade exhibition hall. Off course, Peter and Sam had not
made any kite as they were very busy making the exhibition hall. At
last, after a long time of thinking the winner was announced. Can you
guess who it was ? They were Peter and Sam not for making a kite but
for coming up with an awesome kite shaped exhibition hall !

them. For any other contestant, it would have said “Best Kite Award”

Chapter – 2
Naughty Kids
One day Sam’s neighbour, Mr. Jack fell seriously ill. He was an old
man with no family left. No one was there to support or encourage
him. All alone. Both Peter and Sam went to his house to help him
with all his daily needs since he was on bed rest. A doctor along with
some other people who wanted to check on him were supplying food
and medicines for him daily. Peter and Sam volunteered to be with
him to take care full time as it was anyways summer vacation. Just
then some older boys of school also proposed to help. Everyone was
surprised as Rob and Bob had never till now done anything good and
were always filled with wrong intentions. One family had made hot
soup for Mr. Jack and they handed it over to Rob and Bob, assuming
that they would give it to him. But instead they drank it away without
leaving even a single drop! They took the empty container to his
house pretending to feed him the soup after giving one medicine. Just
as it was time to give the medicine, the doctor came to check on Mr.
Jack. When Rob and Bob opened the container once again, they found
it completely empty! They put all the blame on Peter and Sam. The
doctor believed them and went to the police to complain. So, Sam and
Peter were not allowed to even enter Mr. Jack’s house. Understanding
the mischief of Rob and Bob, both Peter and Sam took a video of Rob
and Bob eating Mr. Jack’s lunch. They presented this to the police to
prove their innocence. But the police didn’t believe them at once, so
he decided to silently monitor the activities of Rob and Bob in Mr.
Jack’s house.

In a next few hours everything became clear and this time it was Rob
and Bob who were thrown out of the house and punished infront of
the whole island.

Chapter – 3
Screen Addiction
Sam and Peter’s parents were suddenly not paying any attention to
them. They were always busy watching TV or doing something on the
mobile. There was nothing much to eat and their parents barely even
looked at them. Almost every adult in the island were doing the same.
The children saw their parents getting more and more involved with
screens. An amazing idea for de-addicting them struck Peter. As per
Peter’s plan, all kids conducted a game day. Then they stole the TV
remotes and mobile chargers. Most of the places kids did this stealing,
however in some house’s maids, cooks, assistants or helpers were
instructed to do so. This forced people to step out of their houses. Just
when a group of angry people were going to the police to report about
their missing things, Sam started announcing in a mic “We have
conducted a game day, please come to the central amphitheatre if you
want to get back your devices. This is only for the adults.” So,
everyone ran to the designated spot. They were just in time as the
games were about to start. The 1st game was lemon and spoon race.
3,2,1 and start... everyone ran as fast as they could. Peter’s mom won
the 1st race. Everyone won at least one game. At the end of the day
nobody remembered about any TV shows or mobile chats. They
realized the difference between outdoor activities and indoor screen
time. Also, how much their kids were missing them.
Once again Peter and Sam grabbed the centre of attention. They were
also glad that the addiction disease had not got to them.

Chapter – 4
One day inspector Michel, the police of Roseberry Island was going
to visit his relative. After dinner while going back to the police station
something very mysterious happened. The next day when Peter and
Sam were going to school, they saw the hawaldar crying and found
out that inspector Michel was missing from the past night. As soon as
the school day let out, they started searching for him. They didn’t
have a clue about where he could have gone. So they went to the same
relative’s house where he was the night before. Turned out he had left
the house around 9 PM. His relatives had offered him to stay at theirs
for the night but he politely declined. From then he had not been seen.
The last they heard from him was him talking about a trap to catch
some thieves. So, Sam and Peter asked the relatives if they had any
information about the trap location. They suspected that he might
have got trapped himself. But the relatives were not having any ideas.
So Peter, Sam and the whole island started looking for any traps or
places the inspector could have been.
After a few days of searching frantically for him, they gave up! A
welcome party for the new inspector was being held in a couple of
days. Just an hour before the function, Sam and Peter found out that
the hawaldar had heard inspector Michel’s voice near a well. So, Peter
went to get a pet dog from his neighbourhood, while Sam went to get
a shirt of Michel. The dog sniffed around for 45 minutes and stood
near the well which the hawaldar had described about. Even they
started hearing somebody asking for help. So, they looked down the
well finally to find inspector Michel! They were extremely glad to
have found him. The well was deep enough for them to pull him out.
9
So, they reached out to their parents for help and somehow managed
to get him out.
At the end the welcome party for the new inspector was replaced by
the re-welcome of old inspector!

Chapter – 5
It was a sunny afternoon and it was also the first day of Sam and
Peter’s summer vacation. They were thinking of how they could pass
their time. Just then the doorbell rang, that gave Sam a very
interesting idea.
He along with Peter went to Mr. Jack’s house, rang the doorbell and
hid in one of the bushes in his garden. Mr. Jack came out and closed
the door very confused. They did this multiple times. This action
irritated him very much. So much that he even called the police. Next,
they went to the police station and did the same. This continued for
almost a week. Soon it had also reached the cover page of the
newspaper - Beware of the automatic ringing doorbell.
No one noticed the excitement and happiness of Peter and Sam. They
were really enjoying how much popularity their prank had gotten.
Everyone was advised to put cameras near the doorbells. Finally, one
day Peter and Sam got caught by the police. Just when he was about
to scold them, the hawaladar came running. He explained to the police
officer that he was sleeping and that the doorbell woke him up in the
middle of previous night. He decided to check the prison and he found
some of the prisoners running away. He caught them red handed. All
thanks to the two mischievous little boys. This enabled both the police
officer and the boys to see this naughty act could also lead to good
things. So, both the boys were forgiven and warned not to repeat such
things the next time.
