Course Description
This course provides a general understanding and application of the basic principles of psychology.
Topics will include history of psychology, scientific methods, physiological basis of behavior, Sensation
and perception, principles of learning, Memory, Motivation, personality theory.

Course Objectives:
The purpose of this course is to introduce the students with basic psychological process of human
behavior with focus to link the learning towards business applications.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course it is expected that a student should be able to:
1. Understand some of the basic principles and processes that govern how individuals
behave in social situations, how we develop, what happens when people go wrong‘, and
the application of psychology in some applied settings.
2. Be familiar with and be able to describe some of the most important methods that are
used to gather evidence about these issues, and how that evidence can be interpreted.
3. Be able to apply your knowledge of basic psychological processes such as learning,
motivation, perception, sensation etc. to understand human behavior in everyday real
world settings.
4. Be able to link the consumer psychology and its application in the field of business.

Use of cellphone, laptop, and other electronic device, consumption of food, drink,
and chewinggum are strctly prohibated during the classes.
