TASK 1

My neighborhood’s been a good place to live because of its convenient location with all you could need
close to you, and the friendly people who live in it. Unfortunately, the last 2 years the street have been
full of vehicules of all types including heavy ones that generate most of the pollution there is now
around. Because of the complains people gave the mayor through social media about this problematic,
he published some possible solutions on the official web site saying that one of the options for
contaminated air is to provide between one hundred, and one hundred fifty bicycles so people who
moved not far away their houses can use them instead of a car and help the environment. Another
solution he shared to fight against deterioration of the neighborhood was to build new solid streets to
avoid main ones get damaged. Like this, visitors will think we all really take care of our place and it will
look in a better shape. The last one and most important way to solve the whole problematic was to start
to grow plants in small rural places which make people’s life healthier.

TASK 2

English is totally enjoyable, even when you take your first class because you realize you will be able to
understand the world since it’s an universal language. Some people feel stuck in a part of the learning
process, however. Due to many people think English is not for them, some professors and advanced
students have decided to share a few suggestions you can take advantage of to improve your skills. For
example, if you are the typical person that have not a good partner to practice with, you can do a good
practice by reading out loud and talking to yourself at the mirror. It might seem weird but, believe me, it
works. You can also improve your listening skill by listening to some English radio in the morning, just be
sure English is the first thing you heard once you get up, and your mind is going to assimilate the
language like something natural on you. Finally, if you want to see how much you have learned and
improved, then a good way to find it out is by talking to native speakers that can provide you new
vocabulary and make you feel part of them.

TASK 3

Lionel Messi is a famous soccer player from Argentina. He was born in 1987 in Rosario city. When he
turned 6 years old, he began to play for “Grandoli Club” the local soccer team of his zone. His
grandmother always encouraged him to play and show his talent which also made him get hired to play
in Newell's Old Boys, another soccer team of the neighborhood. Messi played soccer since he was just
child, and this fact made him improved his skills at early age. By the time he played important matches
for the club, professional soccer teams had already heard of his talent, so the well-known FC Barcelona
decided to travel to Argentina to asked him to join them. Messi developed his professional career in
Barcelona from 2000 to 2021. During that time, he also became the best player of the world and won
many important personals and group titles.
TASK4

Dear friend, I want to apologize to you for not going to your birthday party, I know I should have let you
know about it, but I was exhausted when I got home yesterday. I went to the bed too late last night, so I
didn’t sleep well, and I was really tired the whole day. If I’d gone to bed earlier, I would have had energy
enough to do everything I had to do. I just forgot your birthday and lost the opportunity of enjoying a
good cake. I think if I’d left the office at 2:00 o clock, I could have gotten some rest for a couple of hours
before the party, sadly, I couldn’t since my boss ask us to work extra hours. I promise it won’t be like this
next year.
