Project Proposal: Bike Tracker App

1. Project Overview: The goal of the bike tracker app project is to create a
valuable tool for cyclists of all levels. The app will allow cyclists to track their
progress, set goals, and stay motivated. The app will also be a great way to
connect with other cyclists and share your love of cycling.

2. Problem Statement: Cyclists need a way to track their progress, set goals, and
stay motivated. There are a number of bike tracker apps on the market, but they
all have limitations. Some apps are not very user-friendly, while others are not
very accurate. There is also a lack of social features in most bike tracker apps.

3. Solution: The bike tracker app will solve these problems by providing a user-
friendly, accurate, and social app for cyclists. The app will use GPS to track your
bike rides, providing real-time pace and speed tracking. It will also track the
distance you travel, elevation gain, calories burned, and map of your ride. The
app will also allow you to share your rides with others, compete on leaderboards,
and participate in challenges.

Project Scope : The bike tracker app will be a native mobile app that will be
available on both iOS and Android devices. It will feature the following core features:

• GPS tracking to record your bike rides

• Real-time pace and speed tracking
• Distance traveled
• Elevation gain
• Calories burned
• Map of your ride
• Ability to share your ride with others
• Leaderboards to compare your performance with other cyclists
• Challenges to keep you motivated

The app will also have a number of additional features, such as:

• Weather forecast
• Traffic updates
• Strava integration
• Social media integration

Project Timeline:

The bike tracker app project is expected to be completed within 6 months. The project
will be broken down into the following phases:

• Phase 1: Requirements gathering and planning (2 weeks)

• Phase 2: Design and development (4 months)
• Phase 3: Testing and deployment (2 months)
• Phase 4: Marketing and promotion (2 months)

Project Budget:

The total budget for the development of the bike tracker app is $100,000. This budget
includes the cost of development, testing, deployment, and marketing.

Project Team:

The bike tracker app project team will consist of the following members:

• Project manager
• Software engineer
• UI/UX designer
• Quality assurance engineer
• Marketing manager

Project Risks:

The following are some of the risks associated with the bike tracker app project:

• The app may not be user-friendly or accurate.

• The app may not be able to compete with other bike tracker apps on the market.
• The app may not be able to attract a large user base.
I believe that the bike tracker app project is feasible and has the potential to be
successful. The app will fill a need in the market and provide a valuable service to
cyclists of all levels. I am confident that the project team has the skills and experience
necessary to deliver a high-quality app on time and within budget.
