Online applications are invited from eligible Advocates to fill up 98 vacancies i.e, 87 current vacancies (SC-18, ST-01, OBC-23 and Unreserved-45) + 11 unfilled vacancies of reserved category of the recruitment year 2009 (SC-07 and OBC-04) in pursuance of the directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court passed in Civil Appeal Nos. 1956-1957 of 2015-Nawal Kishore Mishra & Others Vs. High Court of Judicature at Allahabad through its Registrar General & Ors. Etc., of Direct Recruitment to Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service-2020, in the Pay Scale of Rs. 51550- 1230-58930-1380-63070. L.Practice : A candidate must be an Advocate of not less than 07 years' continuous practice as an ‘Advocate on the last date fixed for the submission of application forms. 2.Age : A candidate must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 45 years as on 01.01.2021, ie, the candidate must have been born on or after 02.01.1976 and not later than 01.01.1986, Age limit shall be higher by 03 years in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates belonging to the State of U. P. only (a candidate of SC/ST/OBC category must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 48 years as on 01.01.2021, i.e, the candidate must have been born on or after 02.01.1973 and not later than 01.01.1986). 3.Reservation : There shall be 20% horizontal reservation for women subject to final decision of the Court in Special Appeal No. 675 of 2019 and its connected Special Appeal, filed against the order dated 16.01.2019 of this Court passed in Writ Petition No. 11039/2018- Vipin Kumar ‘Maurya & Ors. Vs, State of U.P, & Ors. and its connected Writ Petitions, wherein Clause (4) of G.0. dated 09.01.2007 was declared ultra vires. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC categories will be applicable for the candidates belonging to State of U.P. only. 4.Submission of Application Form : The application shell be filled online from 20" January, 2021 to 19" February, 2021 till 23:59 hours after which the link will be disabled. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted. The hard copy of the online submitted application forms may be downloaded/printed upto 22" February, 2021 till 23:59 hours. {Official website: (www.allahabadhighcourt in) In addition to submission of on-line application, the downloaded hard copy of the application form along with requisite documents, as mentioned in the instructions are to be submitted as follows : (The Advocates practising within the State of U.P.- Before the District & Sessions Judge of the District or the Registrar General, High Court Allahabad or the Senior Registrar, Lucknow Bench, Lucknow, as the case may be, after obtaining requisite forwarding on or before 27° February, 2021. (ii) The Advocates practising outside the State of U.P. - The candidates shall obtain requisite forwarding by the District and Sessions Judge of the District/Registrar General/Registrar of the High Courts/Secretary General of the Supreme Court, as the case may be. Duly filled in and forwarded application forms are to be sent directly by the candidate through Registered Post/Speed Post/Courier to the Registrar (J), (Selection & Appointment/Seniority), High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, so as to reach on or before 08" March, 2021. 5.Preliminary Examination : The tentative date of Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) is (04° April, 2021 (Sunday) and the same will be held at Prayagraj and only those candidates shall be called to appear in the Main Written Examination who secure 45% or more marks in the Preliminary Examination, provided that candidates not more than 20 times the number of vacancies category-wise i.e. separately for General, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes shall be admitted to the Main Written Examination. 6Fee : Examination Fee for Generél/OBC candidates is Rs.1250/- and Rs. 1000/- for $.C,/S.T. candidates belonging to State of U.P. only. (Rs.1250/- for all the candidates belonging to States other than U.P.) 7.Other instructions : The detailed instructions for the candidates/how to apply, application form, syllabus, mode of submission of fee and other details will be made available on the official ‘website of High Court, Allahabad (wwwallahabadhighcour.in) later on. Noted: ‘The number of vacancies of Direct Recruitment to U.P. Higher Judicial Service-2020, so advertised, are provisional and may vary (increase or decrease). No application regarding inspection of answer scripts of Preliminary and Main Written Examination, will be entertained after one year from the date of declaration of final result of that recruitment year. (i) An Advocate must possess a period of 07 years’ continuous practice as on the last date fixed for submission of the application form. (ii) Prosecuting Officers/Assistant Prosecuting Officers are treated to be an Advocate and are eligible as per the Judgement of Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 561 of 2013- Deepak Agarwal Vs. Keshav Kaushik & Others. : The candidates will be issued admit card online which will be made available only on the official website for downloading at an appropriate time. No admit card will be sent through post. ‘The candidates are also advised to visit the official website of this Court from time to time for Instructions/How to apply with regard to filling up of the application form and other notifications issued by this Court, for further information.
