The submission is in the form of a completed individual portfolio folder, including the tasks set
out in the Assignment Brief. This assignment involves group work but each student should
submit an individual portfolio folder.

Part 1: Training schedule (using project management software) for the two-day event and a
training pack to include a range of activities, seminars, workshops, team-building activities and
break-out sessions.

Part 2: Ten-minute Microsoft® PowerPoint® style presentation with interactive links to


suitable sites and an activity sheet. The presentation slides for the findings should be submitted
with speaker notes. You are required to make effective use of headings, bullet points and
subsections as appropriate. Your research should be referenced using the Harvard referencing
system. The recommended word limit is 500 words, including speaker notes, although you will
not be penalised for exceeding the total word limit.

Part 3: A written evaluation of your performance in this task and your contribution to the team.
You are required to make use of headings, paragraphs, subsections and illustrations as
appropriate, and all work must be supported with research and referenced using the Harvard

Assignment Brief and Guidance


WAZ IT Solution Ltd has been leading the Digital market for two decades with a strong brand image
amongst customers. WAZ IT Solution a broad range of customized solution development SEO, web and
mobile technologies. The company prides itself and is well known for being refreshingly honest and
straightforward in its dealings with customers and employees, and in its ability to deliver difficult projects
on time.
Geehani Weragoda has been a CEO at WAZ IT Solution Ltd for three years and she supports her staff and
is very organized. Geehani Weragoda has been assigned a team of 20 people to help her major customer
application development project. They have been working together for over a month now and they just
haven’t really come together as a team. She was sure she started off well. She contacted each individual
on the teams and let them know their responsibilities on the project. Each of the members get the tasks
completed, but don’t seem concerned with the others on the team. The members of project team are in
serious conflict. They have split into four cliques. If someone needs help, no one pitches in to assist. If a
team member has a problem, no one is ready to solve his problem.

She feels that “Effective communication and the management of information between team members
remains a constant challenge in order to identify and change processes to ensure efficient practice”.
Geehani Weragoda felt tension in the air.
She got permission from the Director to arrange training program to the team members to resolve
conflict, to build team dynamic, collaboration with team members and also determine how conflicts would
be handled throughout the project.
Employee training and development programs provide the perfect opportunity to expand the knowledge
base within the organization. And most importantly, great learning experiences make for a happier, more
productive workforce. Employee training is vitally important to the success of a competitive workforce

Based on the Case study, the training event is scheduled over a two-day period at BMICH, and will
include a number of workshops, coaching sessions and team-building activities to solve problems of
workers, interpersonal issues, lack of motivation and reduce some misunderstanding and conflicts
between managers and staffs. The company requires a schedule of the types of activities proposed so
that plans can be finalised. In addition, any guest speakers or motivational coaches will also require a
minimum of Five days’ notice.

You have also been asked to design and deliver a workshop as part of the training event based on the
dynamics of team working.

Working in small groups (3 per group):


1. Using different communication styles and formats prepare a chart for the two-day event on
analysing team dynamics with the roles of each member of the team and how their roles
