INDEMNITY BOND

THIS DEED OF INDEMNITY executed on this the----------day of ------------- (year) by Shri/Smt -

-------------------------------------------------------------------- (hereinafter referred to as "Indemnifier') in
favor of Government of Rajasthan (hereinafter referred to as the 'Indemnified'). WHEREAS, vide
G.O…………………………………., Government have accorded administrative sanction to Rajiv
Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence Scheme,2021(hereinafter referred to as the “RGS
Scheme”)for assisting academically well-performed students seeking admission in QS ranked
foreign Universities at a maximum cost as payable in the prevalent and as amended time to time
RGS guidelines.

AND WHEREAS, the Indemnifier herein has been selected for RGS Scheme (as amended time to
time) awarded by the Indemnified. AND WHEREAS, the Indemnifier has been required to execute
a bond in favor of the Indemnified, Indemnifying the Government of Rajasthan from any loss caused
to the Government due to violation of any of the terms of assistance or any term of the RGS Scheme
(as amended time to time)by the Indemnifier or due to his/her failure to complete the course.

NOW, THIS DEED WITNESSES AS FOLLOWS: -

1. I, hereby, declare that I am not permanently employed (In government) anywhere at present
and not taking any financial benefits from any source. I also declare that no other member
of my family has availed this scholarship.
2. The Indemnifier agrees to abide by all terms and conditions of the RGS Scheme (as amended
time to time).
3. The Indemnifier agrees and undertakes to pay to the Indemnified the scholarship amount
received by him/her or the University concerned with interest at the 12% ( or as decided by
the Government of Rajasthan from time to time) from the date of disbursement of
Scholarship amount in case he/she violates any of the terms of assistance or any term of the
RGS Scheme(as amended time to time) or fails to complete the course successfully to which
the Scholarship is sanctioned without any proper justification.

4. The department of Higher education will give financial assistance to a maximum of the
course duration as stipulated in the RGS Scheme (as amended time to time).

 5. The Indemnifier and Sureties further agree that in case they violate any of the terms of RGS
Scheme(as amended time to time), the entire amount of Scholarship received shall forthwith
be paid by the Indemnifier within180 days from the receipt of demand notice issued by the
Indemnified. Such costs, including the interest rate ( as decided by the Government of
Rajasthan from time to time) and all costs including legal cost and all other incidental charges
and expenses that shall occur in the said process, shall have to be borne by the Indemnifier.

6. The Indemnifier and Sureties further agree that in case they fail to remit the entire scholarship
amount within 180 days of receipt of demand notice, the said amount shall be recovered with
interest at the rate of 12 % (or as decided by the Government of Rajasthan from time to time)
per annum by the Government from the parental property ----------------------------------------

a half time of the total scholarship amount or from the two Sureties to this Deed as per
discretion of the Indemnified.

 In case of no property owned by the candidate or his/her parents/guardians then the

recovery shall be borne by the sureties.

7. The Indemnifier and Sureties also further agree that the Government of Rajasthan shall
recover all sums found due to the Indemnified under this Deed jointly and severally from
them and their properties, both movable and immovable under the provisions of the
Rajasthan Public Demand Recovery Act 1952, as if such sums are arrears of land revenue or
in such other manner, as the Indemnified may deem fit.

8. The liability of the Sureties under the Deed is co-extensive with that of the Indemnifier and
shall not be affected by the Indemnified varying any of the terms and conditions herein
contained. The stamp Duty of this Deed shall be borne and paid by the Indemnifier.
