ABSTRACT
One of the challenges that came right after graduation is seeking employment. In
fact, it has been observed that many nursing graduates, or even those who already have
their licenses, have jobs unrelated to their college courses as numerous registered nurses
are currently underemployed or unemployed for some reasons. A graduate tracer study is
this study, a descriptive-correlational research design was used wherein a modified survey
questionnaire was utilized in gathering the necessary data for the study.
The result revealed that majority of the respondents were currently staying in the
province, with a dominant age of below 25 years old, are females, and are single. Being
the last batch of the BSN ladderized curriculum in CSPC, all of the respondents passed the
Midwife Licensure Examination while only one of 27 has not yet passed the Nurse
Licensure Examination. Only two have pursued post-graduate studies, but the majority
have attended various trainings for professional development. Majority of the respondents’
their soft and professional competencies. It was also found out that there is no significant
relationship between the employment profile and the extent of contribution of the college
to the soft and professional competencies of the graduates. Further, results of the study can
be a basis in enhancing the employability and passing percentage in the Nurse Licensure
Examination.
