WFP Philippines provided the following assistance in May 2023: - 1,600 people received food assistance - 32 metric tons of iron-fortified rice was distributed - US$2.3 million is needed for operations from June-October 2023 Activities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region included food assistance for 800 households through food-for-work programs benefiting 4,000 people. Participants worked on infrastructure projects and received rice. WFP also conducted community planning activities. WFP is working with the Government on developing a food stamp program and participated in nutrition strategy consultation.
