Ecology- The study of the relationships between different species in a given area.
Biosphere- Sphere of the Earth in which all living things exist. Is found from the
atmosphere all the way into the lithosphere.
Biomass- waste materials from plants or animals that is not used for food or feed.
It is used in various industrial processes like: energy production and raw materials
Biodiversity- refers to the variety and variability of life on Earth. Typically measures
variations at Genetic, species and ecosystem level.
Ecological Succession
The process by which an existing community is gradually replaced by another
community. Every organism affects environmental conditions around it.
