IIDAIRA
IIDAIRA is the annual fest of the Department of Management Studies and the
Department of Financial Studies. It is a glorious display consisting of various
fun competitions and technical events related to the field of business. The
technical events provide budding entrepreneurs the required platform to
display their potential, and the fun keeps the audience entertained and
bursting with energy and enthusiasm.

About The College
Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, affiliated to the
prestigious University of Delhi was established in 1989. Since then, it has
been serving as a medium to provide quality education covering 14
departments which provide the following undergraduate degree courses;
B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronics,Instrumentation, Food Technology, Computer
Science, Biomedical Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology,
Bio- Chemistry, Statistics, a Bachelor in Management Studies, Bachelor in
Business Administration (FIA) and B.A. (Hons.) Psychology.
Spread in an area of over 9.5 acres with sprawling lawns, the academic block,
the administrative block and the hostel, Shaheed Rajguru College, situated in
the Vasudha Enclave, Delhi, hosts over 1750 students at present hailing from
across the country.
We, at our college, provide the students with a well-equipped library which is
a repository of works by numerous distinguished authors. It is an unparalleled
source of learning and research in the vast array of Marketing, Taxation,
Finance, Economics, Psychology, biology, Physics, Mathematics, Human
Resource Management, Global Business, Accountancy, Business Law,
Statistical Methods and many more.

Department of Management and
Financial Studies
Since its inception in 2017, the Department of Management Studies (DMS) and
the Department of Financial Studies(DFS) has been committed to its vision of
being a pioneer in nurturing next-generation leaders and change agents, strongly
rooted in eternal moralities, facilitating excellence in all the fields of society. The
department is committed to fulfilling the mission of:
●Shaping young minds into global leaders, entrepreneurs and policymakers of
tomorrow who can solve complex organizational and managerial problems through
providing an active co-curricular and conducive environment.
●Defining a centre of excellence in upcoming areas of management through
innovation and research activities among faculty and students.
●Contributing to the evolution of management education and ensuring its
relevance to the needs of the corporate sector and the society at large.
We believe that education does not stop at classroom doors and student activities
play a crucial role in creating opportunities to pursue new endeavours or lifelong
interests. The students are provided a myriad of extracurricular activities.
The department organizes its annual fest 'IIDAIRA' with marketing legends like Mr
Manu Malhotra (Global Digital Marketing Leader, Cloud Advertising Manager at
Adobe (North America) and conducts several educational field visits and
excursions which provides a great platform for the students to develop and hone
their managerial and analytical skills.
Many seminars, webinars and symposiums by eminent speakers such as Mr Parth
Gautam (IRS- Direct Taxes, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Income Tax,
Government of India), Prof. Anil Kumar (Professor of Finance and Governance at
SRCC, University of Delhi), Mr Rijul Arora (Consultant, Digital Transformation and
Digital HR COE at EY and a Certified Digital Wellness Educator and TEDx Speaker)
and many more are organized to serve the core academic functions of the
department and to keep the students abreast with the latest events in the
boardroom of big corporate houses. A plethora of workshops focusing on
leadership, financial tools, personality development and social outreach are
conducted to prepare the students for the corporate world.

OUR EVENTS
MODULE YOUR BIZ
A professional presentation competition that was
dedicated exclusively to the world of finance and
commerce was held in the departmental fest,
IIDAIRA'17. Participants presented their ideas in the
form of a presentation. The topics of the
presentation were finance, investment, commerce,
and management. The best presentation among the
participants was rewarded with cash prize. Students
from different colleges participated in the
competition.
LUDO MEGALOMANIA
It was one of the events performed in the
Amphitheatre. The 14x14 ft. Ludo board where the
participants could play over the board caught
everybody’s attention. But that was not all. With
elements like share capital, investments, bank notes
and properties to own and buy, it was designed to
imitate a real market and made for a very fun and
exciting game.
BRAND CHARADES
Brand Charades, because actions speak louder than
words, was a charade with a twist where the
participants came armed with the knowledge of
logos, taglines, brands and other clues to win
exciting prizes.

MEMORY GAME
This game was a test of the memorizing power of
the participants. It was a fun activity combined with
the quest for knowledge.
MOTIVATION IN A BOX
This was a motivational talk show by Aaditya Arora
from FaadTimes and Nikhil Sarojaz, both budding
entrepreneurs who inspired all the students with
their wisdom and achievements.
STAR EVENT
The star event of the fest was the comedy show by
the popular stand-up comedian and YouTuber,
Jaspreet Singh from the Canvas Laugh Club. This
was held in the College Auditorium in the evening.
The humble comedian who is also an engineer
lightened the mood with his great set for 45
minutes. It was the much-needed relief for the
College students after all the hard work they had
put in the fests. The audience doubled up with
laughter and the event was a success.

After the consistent whooping success of the previous IIDAIRAs, the Annual
Fest of the Department of Management and Financial Studies, SRCASW,
brought back the same verve and a jolt celebration and wisdom with our
second edition, IIDAIRA’22, despite the outbreak of covid. The fest was
planned across the span oftwo days, with events filled with amusement and
packed with knowledge, attracting a huge number of students and enthusiasts
from colleges across Delhi-NCR.
IIDAIRA was a culmination of mind testing and fun games, insightful technical
sessions and finally the melodious star event. The event, though online, did
not lose its glory and was appreciated by the students of different colleges as
they got to have fun and learn from the confines of their home.

Bidding Baddies
The event was about testing your ability to bid
for the most profitable item at the lowest
possible price. The event also judged creativity
levels and convincing skills with a tagline to
create and a pitch to be said to impress the
judges. It was a fun-filled event with lots of
learning.
TECHNICAL SESSION
The Technical Event took place on 11th
February, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. via
