IV.PROCEDURES
A. Introduction

Introduction

 Activate the student’s knowledge about the topic by


presenting a situation to unlock the topic of the day!
 Call students to give their answer on what they see in the
presentation. Then, unlock the topic which is analyzing
and completing analogy.

Goal Orientation: Share the objectives and present the topic


that will be discussed.

B. Development

 Explain to the class where and how analogy can be


completed.
 Introduce to the class the two parts of analogy and how
one can complete one.
 Begin with defining the word “ANALOGY”
Proceed to introducing the DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANALOGY.
 Ask them, “How do you complete an analogy?”

 Discuss “DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANALOGY”

 Present a list of examples in each type to furtherly


differentiate each other.
C. Engagement
ENGLISH CHALLENGE: SPACE RACE GAME
Direction: Group the class into two, the female and male
students. Let them choose between the alien ship and the
rocket. A series of questions will then be presented, the first one
to arrive at Mars will be the winner.

Make sure the students were able to complete the analogy and
identify the type of analogy presented. The winner will receive
an extra point.
D. Assimilation
COMPREHENSION CHECK!

Direction: Using the knowledge you have gained about


analogy, copy, and accomplish the matrix below. Then, cite at
least three analogies you can think of. Make sure to identify the
type of analogy used.
