TIMBER CITY ACADEMY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH FESTIVAL 2022

Good morning fellow TCAn’s, the ceremony would be starting shortly, all the contestants and the guests
are invited to come find their most comfortable seats and designated areas.

“He who wants to persuade should put his trust not in the right argument, but in the right word. The
power of sound has always been greater than the power of sense.” -a famous adage by Joseph Conrad.

Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the organizing committee we are pleased to welcome all of you to
Timber City Academy Senior High School Speech Festival 2022 with the theme; “Embracing the New
Normal; Building A Sustainable Digital Future Through Effective and Cybernated Communication”.

Juztin: Good morning fellow TCAn’s, good morning to you too partner! Are you ready?

Julz: Indeed, a pleasant morning to you too Juztin, well yes, like any other event, it’s still an
overwhelming feeling to host such an important event like this but since it’s a duty call I guess I am now
ready.

Juztin: I am glad to hear you say that partner as that definitely boast my confidence that we are on the
same boat. So, without further ado, let us formally start the program, may we request everybody to
please stand for the Invocation which will given to us by the TCA chorale.

Julz: This will then be followed by the singing of the National anthem and our TCA Hymn via Audio-Visual
presentation.

Juztin: You may now be seated. Today’s event will be impossible without the captain manning the ship,
the brain child behind TCA’s Speech Festival, folks, let us all join our hands in welcoming Mr. Kim
Christian T. Matildo for his words of welcome.

Julz: Thank you sir Kim for that hearty and hospitable reception as always and for always encouraging us
to become the better version of our selves today. Now, without dilly-dally let us proceed to the
Introduction of the Board of Judges and the Reading of the Criteria for Judging by Ms. Anjen Sarucam, a
round of applause please.

Juztin: And that officially signs our fate today dear TCAn’s, our best wishes to all the incoming
participants of all the events. Our first event to be contested is the Extemporaneous Speech to be
followed with Character Impersonation and the Jazz Chant.

Julz: As a kind reminder, may we request everyone to please lower down your voices and ensure that
your mobile phones are turn on to silent mode as we will now begin with the contest proper for the
extemporaneous speech, all contestants are enjoined to come on stage. May the odds be in your favor.

AFTER THE EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECH

Juztin: Wow! That blows my mind, our speakers are all a pro when it comes to voicing out their opinions
and thoughts right partner?

Julz: You certainly are right partner, in fact I am full of pride watching all our fellow TCAn’s speak what’s
on their mind flawlessly and fluently.
Juztin: Wanna see more of these talents everyone? Well brace your selves as we get to meet new icons
to idolized, our TCAn’s Character Impersonators!

AFTER THE CHARACTER IMPERSONATION

Julz: Speechless! I mean are you with me partner when I say I was like brought into another dimension
where the world of the fabulous and talented artist do exist? Was this some kind of a doppelganger
fantasy land?

Juztin: Crazy right? But yes, we are still in Butuan City people and what we have seen are not just an
illusion or your imagination, that’s what you call pure talent at its finest. And wait till you see what’s in
store for us next?

Julz: The Jazz Chants Competition! This year’s contest piece is a familiar ground to all the millennials of
the social media world. I guess no souls living haven’t been hook to the “ Ma Priso Ka” viral video. It will
be a roller-coaster ride folks as we will now witness the different versions and interpretations of the said
piece.

Juztin: Our first contestants is…………….

JuZtin: And that was the last contest piece of today, while waiting of the results of the competition, at
this point time we would like to give commendation to all the people who have made this program
possible.

Julz: The Recognition of Manpower is hereby awarded to ………………….. (read the whole text of the
certificate). May we request _________________ to please do the honor of giving us the certificates.

Juztin: Another set of certificates will also be given to our Board of judges and tabulators…. (read the
whole text of the certificate). Requesting _________________to please join us on the stage and do the
honor of giving us the certificates.

Julz: We are down to the most awaited part of today’s event which is the Awarding of Winners.
Regardless, todays’ performance are all amazing and they all deserve an applause for such
commendable skills, talents and confidence.

Juztin: Are you all excited? May we invite then the head or the chairman of the Board of Judges to
please do the honor of announcing the results.

Julz: Congratulations once again everyone and hopefully by next year the same enthusiasm and the
spirit of a healthy competition will still be shown. At this juncture let us lend our ears and hearts to the
closing remarks by our very own Mr. Richard Falo.
