The Air Data Display Unit will operate in a Configuration Module (reference IS&S
Simplex or Duplex System, and is document 1D-03508) to be connected to it in
compatible with existing aircraft order to provide static source error correction
instrumentation. The 'Duplex System' is the (other than unity), maximum allowable
minimum approach to satisfying RVSM airspeed (Vmo), and their related Installation

requirements. Configuration Display data.

The 'Duplex System' consists of a Pilot

indicator and a Copilot indicator operating in
self-sensing mode only. Redundancy is
provided by the separation of the pilot's and
copilot's pitot-static systems, and by the
separation and redundancy of the power
busses.

The 'Simplex System' consists of a single

Pilot or Copilot indicator only.

The ADDUs determine various air data

parameters and transmit them to another
IS&S ADDU or DADC (if installed).

The ADDU also provides loss of SSEC

warning, loss of primary power warning, and
loss of RS422 data input warning (if
enabled) (refer to section 3-6 and
Table 1-4).

The ADDU provides a fully independent,

encoded output of 29.92 InHg altitude to an
ATC Transponder, Altitude Select Control
Panel, and GPS. A three wire Baro Altitude
Pot provides barometric setting to the
Altitude Select Control Panel and GPS over
a range of 22.00 to 31.00 InHg. The ADDU
also provides an ADDU Valid output to the
Altitude Select Control Panel and GPS.
