The values in Table B are the minimum retro-reflection coefficients, expressed in candelas per lux per square
meter (cd / lux / m2).

Tests for the Retro-reflection Coefficients: Compliance with the requirements for retro-reflection coefficients must
be determined by the instrumental method according to the ASTM E810 standard “Test Method for Coefficient of
Retroreflection of Retroreflective Sheeting”, averaging the B values in the 0 ° B rotation for the 0 ° and 90 °
rotation.

3 Input Angle – The angle from the illumination axis to the retro-reflector axis. The retro-reflector axis is perpendicular to the retro-
reflective surface.
4 Observation Angle - The angle between the illumination axis and the observation axis.

For the areas of transparent color screen printed on white sheets, or white sheets covered with the OPTICS TID
Series 1170 sign cut Film, processed according to the OPTIC TID recommendations, the relationship between the
RA for this color and the RA for the white should be less than 70% of the Table A colors, and the colors specified
for the full RA should be less than 70% of the color.

The T9300 Series sheet has a pressure sensitive adhesive whose application is recommended at room
temperature. Room temperature application is defined as 18 ° C or higher.
Adhesive
Standard Test Plates Unless otherwise specified, retro-reflective foil should be applied
according to the manufacturer's recommendations on aluminum plates 6061-T6,5052-H38 or
equivalent, of a minimum thickness of 1.6mm, which has been previously cleaned and
polished by 1.8 Greased and greased information.

Standard conditioning: all applied and unapplied test tubes must be conditioned by 24h at 23
° C ± 1 ° C and 50% ± 4% relative humidity, before each test.
Adhesion: Test method weighing 0.8Kg – Apply 10cm of a 2.54cmx15cm strip of retro-
reflective foil to the plate as required.Place the plate with the applied face down and hold the
weight of the free (unglued) end of the strip. Requirement: Within five minutes, no more than
5.0 cm should be detached.

Impact Resistance: Test method – Apply the sheet on a 7.6cmx15.2cm plate and condition.
Plate the sheet at an impact of 5.7N-m according to ASTM D2794. Requirement: The sheet
must not separate from the plate, nor break around the immediate impact area.

Shrinkage: Test Method – After conditioning 228.6mm x 228.6mm samples, remove the and
place the specimen on a flat surface with the adhesive side facing up. Requirement: Shrinkage
of greater than 0.8 mm in 10 min, or no greater than 3.2 mm in 24 h any size.

Flexibility: Test method – After conditioning 25.4mmx152.4mm specimens, remove the

fineness and powder on the adhesive face. Then, under standard conditions, holding the ends
of the specimen, bending the specimen quickly (within one second) around a 3.2mm diameter
adhesive mandrel touching the face of the adhesive mandrel. Requirement: No breakage,
detachment or delamination should be observed.

Gloss: Test method - Test according to ASTM D523 standard, using a gloss meter at 85 °.
Requirement: Rating not less than 50.

Application: The T9300 Series High Intensity Prismatic Reflective Laminate has a pressure
sensitive adhesive and should be applied to the sign substrate at an ambient temperature of 18
° C higher, using one of the following methods: Mechanical roller laminator – Refer to the
Information Folder 1.4 (Application).
When working with extruded aluminum panels, heat is required to soften the foil enough so
that the edge of the panel can be rolled back. Manual Roller Roller - See Information Folder
1.6.

Manual application: The manual application is recommended for legends only. the application
of the laminate to the full background of a design should be performed with a hand-held,
mechanical or hand-operated roller. refer to Info Carpet 1.5 for details. Hand application may
produce some irregularities that may be objectionable to aesthetically critical customers. These
are more prominent on darker colors. To obtain a uniform appearance, a roller burnisher should
be used. All application MUST be cut into all metal joints and spackled seams.

Joints: T9300 Series sheeting should be joined together at the top (without the top) when more
than one piece of sheeting is required on a single substrate surface. A gap of up to 1.5mm is
acceptable to avoid warping, since the sheeting expands when exposed to extreme heat and
moisture. If no such gap is desired, the following procedure should be followed: 1. Using a
straight edge and a sharp blade, cut through the two layers of reflective sheeting. 3. Peel off and
remove any remaining sheeting. If the liner was left on, remove it and reattach the sheeting.
Double-sided signs: When making double-sided signs, it is advisable to protect the first side of
the T9300 Series foil from damage that may result from contact with the bottom roller of the
rollers, which in most cases is metallic and has no coating.

For use in traffic signals, product application depends on proper preparation of the aluminum
(See Information Carpet 1.7). Extruded aluminum panels must be turned over at the edges. In
flat panels, the sheet must be carefully cut at 45° at the edges, so that the sheets of the adjacent
plates do not touch each other or any other panels that require more than one aluminum sheet.
It is up to the users to carefully evaluate any other substrates to ensure adhesion and durability
of the signal. T9300 Series foil is designed primarily for application on flat substrates. If other
substrates are used, they must have the following characteristics:
- Smooth
- Cleaned
- Flat
Substrates - Rigid - Non-porous
- Non-porous - Stable
- Stable
- Weather resistant
- High surface energyAny other use requiring a curvature radius of less than 12.5 cm must be
additionally secured with bolts or rivets.Plastic substrates are not recommended when good
performance is essential in the face of cold weather.Significant failures are likely to occur in the
future.

Screen printing: T9300 Series film can be screen printed before or after mounting on a sign
substrate using the OPTICS TID Process Color 600I Series (see Product Bulletin 600I) or 660N
Series (see Product Bulletin 660N) inks. The 660I or 660N Series inks can be used a
temperature between 16°C and 38°C, and a relative humidity between 20% and 50%. It is
recommended that you use a heavy-duty mesh of PE157 size. We do not assume
responsibility for any failure in the legends or sign backgrounds that have been processed with
Printing tapes or other OPTICS TID tape marks other than those mentioned above. It is recommended
to avoid flexing the T9300 Series foil before and especially after screen printing in order to
avoid possible cracking caused by improper handling techniques.

The sheet can be cut once a time, manually or automatically with a flatbed plotter, or several
sheets can be cut in a stack, using a band saw or guillotine. T9300 Series sheet can be cut in
any number of layers, using any blade or any other manual tool of your choice. As with all
reflective sheeting, when used with more than one piece in a sign, it should be assembled by
hand to ensure a consistent nighttime color and appearance. Cutting tools such as shears and
shears, which use pressure plates on the sheet when cutting, can damage the sheeting's
optics. To reduce damage, it may be advisable to cover the pressure plate with some padding
and place it carefully over the sheets being cut. The maximum stack height for cutting T9300
Cut Series sheets may be 38mm or 50 sheets. For more information on the cutting process, refer to
Information Carpet 1.10. Signs that have more than one slice must have all plates oriented
identically in order to have a uniform appearance under all viewing conditions (stamping
pattern in the same direction). On T9300 Series sheets, edge sealing is generally not
necessary. After prolonged exposure, it is possible that dust particles may be trapped inside the
cut cell ailer along the edge of the sheet.
T9300 Series sheet should be stored in a cool, dry area, preferably between 18°C and 24°C
and 30% to 50% relative humidity, and should be applied within the year of purchase.
Partially used rolls should be placed back into the shipping crate or hung horizontally from a
pipe or bar that runs through the center.Unprocessed sheets should be stored flat.Finished
signs and applied backing materials should be stored over the edges. Signs printed by
silkscreen printing should be protected with a SCW568 slide wallpaper.place that slide
wallpaper should be glazed agains the face of the signs and protect that face with bubble
pack ing foil. double-sided signs should have the slide wallpaper glazed on both faces. The
Storage unmounted, printed sheets must be stored flat and a sheet of protective paper SCW568
and with brilliants the signal face.Finished signal face packages must have enough nylon
packaging washers for mounting. Avoid bottle necking signs with signs that have bubbles for
packaging. Avoid tying signs with bands, placing them in wooden crates, and stacking
them. The transportable gearbox must meet commercially accepted standards to prevent
movement and tracking.Store the packaged signs indoors and on their edges. If packaged
signs become wet, unpack them immediately and allow them to dry out. Refer to Information
panel 1.11 for instructions on packaging for transport and storage.

It is recommended that nylon ties be used between the heads of all fasteners (bolt heads,
Installation bolts or nuts) and the sheets to protect the sheet from movement of the heads.

Signals that require cleaning should be soaked with plenty of water, then washed with a
detergent solution using a sponge or sponge brush. Avoid exerting pressure that could
Clean damage the surface of the signal. Rinse with plenty of water after washing. Refer to
Information Folder 1.10

performance determine the suitability of any nominal sign backing for its intended use. Applications on
unconditioned, excessively rough or weather-resistant surfaces, or exposure to severe or
considerations unusual conditions may reduce the performance of such applications. Signals in
mountainous regions covered by snow for extended periods of time may have limited
durability. In general, OPTICS TID paints, used according to OPTICS TID
recommendations, are expected to provide comparable performance to reflective color
films, except in the case of some light colors such as yellow and gold, or some very dark
colors or blends containing yellow or gold, the durability of which will depend on how much
of each color was used. Color dilution and atmospheric conditions in certain geographic
areas may reduce the durability of the signs. OPTICS TID brindeund ElectroCut®1170
Series Film can be expected to perform satisfactorily for the life of the sign when applied
directly over the T9300 Series film.
OPTICS TID warrants that the T9300 Series High Intensity Prismatic Reflective Sheeting,
which is marketed for use as a signal component for traffic control and guidance in China, will
be effective for the desired use and will meet the minimum values established for the retro-
reflection coefficient for a period of two years, subject to the following considerations in:
