Overall Objective:

The objective for Jerome P. Magsino is to complete the training on Test Engineering Process Flow, Debugging-Repair, Data Correlation techniques and Test Equipment of Linear Technology
Products at its facilities in Milpitas, California, USA. The training covers the different steps on Test Engineering Process Flow, familiarization with ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) and set-ups,
Hardware Debugging, troubleshooting and repair, Data Correlation and Qualification Criteria using EXENSIO statistical tools and analysis, possible test improvement, design implementation and
documentation. These knowledges and skills are vital in Mr. Magsino’s expanded role in debugging and repair and performing transfer activity at the ADI Philippines facility.

US Training Rationale:

Mr. Jerome P. Magsino is a member of Product Engineering team under the Test Manufacturing Engineering Department at Analog Devices (ADI). The said team is responsible for sustaining of LTC
transferred products and improving the overall product manufacturability. His work involves analyzing product related issues and providing corrective actions and solutions. For Mr. Magsino to be
efficient in his new role, he must be trained on the Test Engineering Process Flow, Automatic Test Equipment set-up and trouble-shooting, debugging and repair, correlation/qualification tools and
techniques. He will be interacting with the ADI Milpitas’ engineers who have developed the test Engineering process, debugging tool, test equipment and established products. This will provide
opportunities for hands-on coaching and engaging in active discussions on the complexities and proper use of the tools and techniques. In addition to the technical skills he will develop, Mr. Magsino
will be able to build strong connections with the ADI Milpitas Test Manufacturing Operation and Engineering Development team members in the US. Interactions with these key staffs in the
organization will promote teamwork resulting in a more effective collaboration in resolving problems or issues that may arise from the use of the tools, testers (ATE), process specifics, data
correlation, troubleshooting and repair. After the completion of Mr. Magsino’s training, he will return to ADI site in the Philippines and expected to apply the technical knowledge, techniques and
know-how that he gained during the training. He is also expected to cascade his learnings to his team of Engineers locally.

Training Methods and Program Schedule:

Mr. Magsino’s training will be carried out in two methods, these are through Classroom Sessions and Buddy System Training. The classroom sessions aim to teach the trainee on the theories and
concepts on the topics covered in the training program, this is done through various teaching methods (e.g., video presentations, hands-on application exercises, face to face lectures, problem solving
exercises, etc.), at the end of every session the trainee is then given a written exam as a way to evaluate his understanding on the topics covered in the training. Every session is kept at a maximum of 2
hrs. per day as this will be enough time for the trainers to effectively deliver out the training and still carry out their day-to-day job duties since there are no full-time trainers available in the facility.
After every classroom session the trainee is then subjected through a 6-hour Buddy System Training, this training aims to apply all the skills the trainee will acquire at the course of the training, this
will also serve as the trainees on-the-job training, this is accomplished by assigning the trainee (under the supervision of his trainers) to assist an experienced engineer (called a “Buddy”) on certain
parts of an ongoing project, this will help reinforce the skills of the trainee through practical application.

The following approximated schedule will be in place for Mr. Magsino’s training with ADI in the United States. Please note the training plan provides for an additional 5 days beyond the formal
schedule to accommodate any wrap up and debriefing necessary to complete the training, as well as to accommodate any travel delays.
