Szigliget Theatre Szolnok


The first theatrical performance in
Szolnok took place in the winter of

This episcopal or royal private chapel
was built by Bishop Robertus. The walls
are covered with Byzantie frescoes of
the apostles painted in the 13th
century which are among the oldest
paintings in Hungary.

The Herend Porcelain Manufactory is a Herend


Hungarian manufacturing company,
specializing in luxury hand painted and
gilded porcelain. Founded in 1826, it is
based in the town of Herend near the
city of Veszprém. In the mid-19th
century it was purveyor to the
Habsburg Dynasty and aristocratic
customers throughout Europe

The Herend Porcelain Manufactory is a


Hungarian manufacturing company,
specializing in luxury hand painted and
gilded porcelain. Founded in 1826, it is
based in the town of Herend near the
city of Veszprém.
In Herend for coating real gold is used
House of Arts: The building used to Szekszárd
house religious communities.

Károly Lookout Tower Sopron


It is the centre and most visited place
of the Park Forest (Lővérek) in Sopron,
and today it is the second symbol of
the town of Sopron after the Fire
Tower.
The two-storey roof terrace of the
nearly 21-meter-high tower offers a
wonderful view of Sopron, Lake Fertő
The Fire Tower is a symbol of the town Sopron
of Sopron. It has Roman foundations,
its cylindrical part is medieval, its
balcony and clock tower are
Renaissance, its dome is Baroque. Its
Loyalty Gate frames the 2,000-year
history of the town centre.

Our Lady's Church (Goat Church) is the Sopron


oldest church in Sopron. It was built
around 1260 on behalf of the Geissel
(Hungarian: Kecskés) family.
Parliaments were also held here,
Ferdinand the third and two Hungarian
queens were also crowned here. Its
clothing collection is also famous.

The Storno Huse Sopron


The baroque building in front of the
Fire Tower took its current shape in the
18th century, when it was owned by
the Festetics family. It was named after
the Storno family of restorers and art
collectors from Switzerland.

Lenck Villa Sopron


It was built in 1892 by the wine
merchant Lenck family. Today it is the
home of the Sopron Museum.

Perhaps the most special attraction of Sopron


Sopron is the Taród Castle, also called
Fool's Castle and Owl Castle. For the
most part, it is the 50-year work of one
single man, István Taródi, who used
150-200 railway cars of stones and
bricks in the course of the construction
until his death in 2010.

preserved lowland Gothic brick castle
in the lowlands of the former Kingdom
of Hungary, which was the country's
final castle from the 16th century

Almássy Castle Gyula


This is the first castle in Hungary in
which a play was presented as early as
1746. The grandfather of the composer
of our anthem lived as a cultural
courtier within its walls - and Ferenc
Erkel himself often visited here.
The exhibition in the castle presents

Andrássy Castle Tiszadob
It was built by Gyula Andrássy prime
minister in the beginning of the 1880s.
The castle has symbolic 365 windows,
52 rooms, 12 towers, and 4 entrances.
The whole territory inclouded its park
is almost 1000 hectare and completely
protected. Thanks to the renovations
and developements

The museum is filled with dolls dressed Abádszalók


in national costumes. A total of 560
orders of clothing can be seen in
miniature replicas in three locations,
the value of which is increased by the
fact that each outfit contains original
textiles. 240 dolls have been dressed in
national costumes, presented by
diplomats and heads of state from 60
countries.
Lake Tisza’s cycle path, between Tiszafüred
Poroszló and Tiszafüred. The small
circuit around Lake Tisza is barely 70
kilometres long, the bigger circuit is 95-
kilometre-long.
The Bike Centre in Tiszafüred provides
a variety of services for cyclists.

Turul Memorial (In memory of the Tatabánya


Battle of Bánhida in 907)
The statue of a turul bird, an ancient
Hungarian symbol has been watching
the landscape below from a limestone
peak near Tatabánya. It is believed to
be the biggest bird statue in Europe,
and indeed, its considerable size makes
it visible from far. No wonder it has
become the symbol of the town.

Tata Castle: Built On the shore of the Tata


Old-lake around 1400, by King
Zsigmond. King Matthias liked it very
much as a summer residence. It was
burnt by Habsburgs and later
renovated. This is the only castle in
Hungary that is surrounded by the
original moat defense system. Today it
houses a local history museum.
Eszterházy Castle Tata
It was the residence of the family from
1770. It is interesting that it suffered
from Napoleon
due to defeat, the Habsburg ruler
Ferenc I fled here with his court. He
also signed the Peace of Schönbrunn
here. A theater building was also built
next to the castle.
System of Fortifcations in Komárom- Komárom
