IV. ASSESSMENT
History can never be changed, it can only be increase. but the past can never be changed
In our life there are three stages past future and present the past is the past or things that have
already happened, the future is the future or things that will happen and the present is the present what
we are experiencing at this time.
History is very important to me, it gives me inspiration and motivation in my current life, because of
what happened in the past I learned from the mistakes I made, and because of this I have an idea of how
I will face the future. I can use history as a lesson, that the mistakes made in my past will not be repeated
in the future.
There were many things that happened in my life before, many were not good and there were also good,
for me I always carry those things whether they were good or not, but how I carry them are both
positive, because the things that happened to me were good I will carry it as inspiration to continue,
strengthen and increase those, the bad things that happened I will carry as motivation to be a better
version of myself and to serve as a lesson, so that those things will not happen again and if I encounter
something like that I can change my approach and apply what I have learned in the past.
I use history as a mirror to my life before, I can compare my old self with my current self and
because of this I can see and appreciate the improvements I got from then until now and because of this
I am given strength and hope that keep fighting in life because every time I look back I see the old me
and I realize how far I’m got now.
VII. REFLECTION
What were your misconceptions about the topic prior to taking up this lesson?
I thought the stories of my grandmothers and grandfathers could be considered or said to be a part
of history, even without having proof or evidence presented by my grandparents that the stories of them
exist or happened.
What new or additional learning have you gained from this lesson in terms of skills, content, and
attitude?
I learned that to be considered or said to be part of history, a phenomenon or event should have
concrete evidence or an accurate and credible source of information, like being recorded and having
documents that say and show that the events happened. I learned that a story comes from word of
mouth and, without concrete evidence, can’t be considered history.
