Installation Guide v3f16l

This document provides instructions for installing a replacement V3F wire for a lift system. The steps include powering down all supplies, installing the new wire according to the original unit, ensuring tight connections, checking the motor and drive settings, navigating menus to check and potentially change motor type settings, running tests in inspection mode, performing a shaft learn, and saving parameters. The full troubleshooting guide should be consulted if any issues remain.

INSTALLATION GUIDE V3F16L

• Power down and isolate all supplies via MAP panel

• Install replacement V3F wire for wire as per the original unit.

• Ensure that all wires are connected tightly

• Check motor tachometer on the Ecodisc to ensure it is securely coupled to the motor. There should be no
cracks or damage to the casing.

• Ensure that the drive is programmed correctly for your motor. The drives settings may not be set for your
system.

• Navigate to menu 6 using the MAP board.

• Check 6_1 to check motor type, if this is not the motor that you are using, this parameter will need to be
changed.

Motor Parameter Motor Type

5,10 MX05
5,20 MX05/10
5,21 MX05/10 MICROSPACE
6,10 MX06; MX06A EU;MX06A EA
6,20 MX06/10; MX06/10 EA; MX06/05
10,10 MX10; MX10A EU; MX10A RU; MX10A EA
10,20 (Default) MX10/10; MX10/10 RU; MX10/10 EA; MX10/05

In order to change parameter 6_1, you must first access parameter 6_59 (No. of motor poles) and change to ‘0’.

• Once 6_59 = 0, 6_1 can be changed to the desired parameter using the above table to identify the correct
setting for your motor type. Motor type details are displayed clearly on the Ecodisc nameplate

• Run the lift in emergency inspection (RDF) using the up and down buttons on the MAP pcb. If the lift runs in
the wrong direction or flags a 0108 fault, firstly swap two phase of the motor i.e. change UVW to UWV. If this
fails to rectify the problem please check the tacho polarity.

• Once the lift is operating satisfactorily in emergency inspection, it might be necessary to perform a shaft learn.

• Run the lift car down to the bottom floor so that it is level with the floor. Change parameter 5_2 = 1 and then
take the lift out of RDF mode. The lift should then perform a learn run. Once this is complete it should be
possible to put the lift back into service.

Once the lift is in operation, the parameters should be saved into the drive’s memory by changing parameter 6_99 = 1
