Logistic Infrastructure Engineer

Role:

To provide technical support for the planning and execution infrastructure construction and maintenance
activities and associated services.

Main Responsibilities:

• Effectiveness, efficiency and safety of planning and execution infrastructure construction and
maintenance activities
• Quality and technical integrity of maintenance works
• Preparing cost and schedule estimates constructions, infrastructures, and civil works
• Identifying and adopting the correct civil engineering/construction standards according to
company procedures, local norms, and legislation
• Preparing technical and contractual specifications for constructions, infrastructures and civil
works
• Civil engineering reviewing and approving of contractor’s documentation
• Design reviewing (construction and installation design)
• Reviewing civil works and constructions cost
• Reviewing and evaluating civil works and constructions bid
• Supporting Base manager planning and monitoring project execution (schedule, cost and
compliance of work to project specifications)
• Providing technical support to civil works contractors
• Follow up and planning of activities according to infrastructure maintenance plan
• Allocating works orders to executors
• Supervising infrastructure maintenance operators
• Assuring the application of the relevant HSEQ procedures during maintenance work
• Checking and supervising the infrastructure works carried out by contractors and accept them
upon completion
• Drafting improvement maintenance proposals

Logistic Infrastructure Engineer

• Interface with internal and affiliated departments where necessary to ensure logistic activities
across all supply chain are running smoothly
• Interface with external parties (ie Contractors, Authorities) to facilitate execution of logistic
support operations, including identification of local suppliers and vendors for needed services,
administrative and documentation guidance where necessary
• Develop a strong understanding of the area of operations, including understanding of capabilities
of local service providers, capabilities, and characteristics of infrastructures with logistic interest,
legal and operational framework in order to provide advice to Base Manager when necessary

Qualifications and Experience:

• The job holder must have a Civil Engineering degree, with a minimum of 5 years experience in
similar project.
• Able to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexible, team player and drive meet or excel
performance requirements.
• To be able to demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management
skills.

Competencies:

• Strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure development and maintenance.


• Ability to operate independently.
• Basic Logistics knowledge.
• Basic HSE knowledge.
• Team player skills, frequent interaction with other disciplines and third parties.
• Manages own time and establishes priorities.
• Proficient PC skills for MS office suite programs etc., also extensive knowledge and proficiency
with material management programs.
• Fluent English and in Portuguese in written & spoken
