made by using batik techniques on silk and wood. Ms. Pritchard expertly uses the ancient techique called batik which is a form of resist painting traditionally used for fabric decoration. Julia Harting creates drawings, watercolors and paper cuts of such non-utilitarian chairs chairs with wings, chairs made of fruit and collars and shoes made of chairs to name a few.
