GRAMMAR INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK ACTIVITIES
Interactive notebooks are a fun and engaging way for students to learn and
interact with new information, as well as, review and practice skills already
introduced. Interactive notebooks promote organization and serve as a very useful
and necessary learning tool. Students collect all their learning in this notebook, and it
can easily be used to scaffold and assess learning. Students learn to take ownership
of their notebook and love to share their creativity with others.

The activities included cover all of the first grade grammar skills. The activities can
be completed during station time, once the children have learned how to complete
the interactive pages. For each activity, you will find a label that includes the skill
being taught, as well as, an I can statement. Explanations of each activity and the
common core standard(s) it covers are also included. Preparation is simple.
Students will need a notebook, marble or spiral (labels are included on the next
several pages), copies of the activities, glue (stick or liquid), scissors, crayons, and
colored pencils.
