Advisory Kadiwa

MEMORANDUM

SUBJECT : FOLLOW THROUGH ON THE DILG-WORLD BANK SURVEY


ON

DATE : 12 July 2023

This has reference to the Advisory dated 11 July 2023 signed by Secretary of the
Interior and Local Government, Atty. Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr., enjoining all Provincial
LGUs to participate in the simultaneous launching of KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) on
July 17, 2023, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

This is a marketing initiative which seeks to provide consumers with access to quality
yet affordable goods and facilitate access of farmers, fisherfolk, and micro-
enterprises to the market.

To do this, participating LGUs shall establish KADIWA stores in identified suitable


venues for selling and purchase of acgricultural produce such as rice, vegetables,
fruits, and meats at affordable prices; processed goods, both food and non-food
produce by MSMEs as One Town, One Product (OTOP) of different localities; and
mercato stalls (ready-to-eat food) for micro-enterprise of host LGU.

Likewise, they shall coordinate with the Regional Department of Agriculture and
Department of Trade and Industry Offices for the supply of agricultural produce, agri-
based products, and OTOP goods to be showcased during the KNP launching.

Finally, all participating Provincial LGUs shall submit a narrative report of the
activities conducted, highlighting the number of participating sellers, buyers, and total
amount of goods sold through the KADIWA stores/stalls to the DILG Regional Office
through their respective Provincial Offices before July 26, 2023.
