What is mindset? goals for ourselves - established set of attitudes held by someone -self-reward- compensate ourselves when we achieve our goals 2 types - self-punishment- examines our mistakes before - FIXED MINDSET conscious effort not to repeat them -perceive their talents and abilities as set traits. -self-cueing- process of prompting that acts a -brains and talent alone are enough for success. reminder of desired goals and keeps your attention -looking smart all the time on what you are trying to achieve -GROWTH MINDSET -abilities can be developed through dedication, effort and hard work NATURAL REWARD STRATEGIES -brains and talent are not the key to lifelong success - situations that motivates or get rewarded by the positive aspects of the task ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET - the ability to quickly sense opportunities, take action, and CONSTRUCTIVE THOUGHT PATTERNS get organized under certain conditions - models to help form positive and productive ways of -persevere,accept and learn from failure thinking that can benefit performance -get comfortable with a high level of discomfort
