Application of Salts

1. Various salts have important industrial and domestic applications. Sodium chloride is widely used for cooking, food preservation, and manufacturing soap. 2. Other commonly used salts include sodium carbonate for cleaning, plaster of Paris for medical casts, and calcium hypochlorite as a bleaching agent. 3.
