counterflow mode. (5 Marks)

conditions are fixed so that the gas concentration is 50% by volume of ammonia at one
boundary of a stagnant layer. The ammonia diffusing to another boundary is quickly absorbed
and the concentration is negligible at a plane. The temperature is 295 K and the pressure is
