Modification through Maintenance Tool

1. Preparing
1）Serial Cable(USB to RS485)
➢ Check the PO if the cable is included.

➢ If Not, need prepare it according to the guide in next page.

2) Laptop with Microsoft system.

3) Maintenance Tool which can be obtained from Support.

1. Preparing
Pls disconnect the communication
cable between li battery and SMU
USB to RS485 cable Preparation when connects to maintenance tool

LAN Cable
Connect to RS485-USB Adapter Connect to
computer Recommended: UT-890A Battery COM_IN Lithium Battery
or COM_OUT

Wire sequence of a straight-through


cable

UT-890A Driver document：

Usually the Windows will


automatically install the driver. If not,
pls manually install the driver based
on the Windows system type.

2. Modify the Equivalent Cells
1) Connect the laptop and li battery through serial cable, Pls disconnect the communication cable between li
battery and SMU when connects to maintenance tool

2) Run the tool

3) Select Serial Port


Check the port number:

Right click

Modify the Equivalent Cells
4) Change the Equivalent Cell to 15

Number 16 to 15, and Submit
