Configurations
With the implementation of OpenJKDF2 we now have the advantage of having in Game
configurations!
1. To run JK Remastered with all the textures etc. You must at least have Bloom enabled
but I would also recommend all the settings above be added as well. The Texts can also
be turned off altogether from Advanced section if you desire!
Aspect Raito 1:1: Changes the size the game
(FOV) Field of view: Depending on your screen resolution you may want to change this setting.
With the easy-to-use slider you can change this on the fly with no issues! Ultra-Wide JKDF2 here
we come! Looks kind of silly on a standard monitor but if you have a ultra-wide monitor this
setting will work perfectly!
FPS (Frames Per Sec) Limit will limit what frames the game will run on from None to max of 360!
Vertical Synchronization (VSync), helps create stability by synchronizing the image frame rate of
your game or application with your display monitor refresh rate. If it's not synchronized, it can
cause screen tearing, an effect that causes the image to look glitched or duplicated horizontally
across the screen.
Fullscreen
HiDPI is an adjective that describes a display with high pixel density or DPI. A HiDPI screen can
display sharper text and more detailed images than a standard DPI display. While there is no
official DPI threshold for a HiDPI display, a typical HiDPI monitor has a DPI of at least 200.
Texture Filtering: In computer graphics, texture filtering or texture smoothing is the method
used to determine the texture color for a texture mapped pixel, using the colors of nearby
texels. There are two main categories of texture filtering, magnification filtering and minification
filtering.
Bloom: Allows for Bright lights and blaster affects.
Screen space ambient occlusion (SSAO) is a computer graphics technique for efficiently
approximating the ambient occlusion effect in real time.
