1 INTRODUCTION
Compound wall is analysed with RC beam & column arrangement at a 3m center to centre spacing. Two
columns are tied with ground beam and coping beam at top. RCC framing is filled with brick wall and
protected with barbed wire at top. There is very dense grayish brown medium sand varying from 12m to
21 m below existing ground level throughout the site. Staad software is used to prepare model for above
said configuration framing and analysed for further design of structure. Model is prepared for five column
and four bay framing of wall and maximum support reaction is taken for design of structural RCC
elements. i.e. Footing, Column, Beam etc.

where
Kd = wind directionality factor, = 1.0
Ka = area averaging factor, and = 1.0 Tributory area <10sqm
Kc = combination factor = 1
Wind pressure is calculated at maximum 5 m depth by using wind parameters. Same wind
Note:- Wind pressure below the 10m is not applicable as per the codal provision. On higher
side, compound wall is designed for wind load.
