Using Familiar Words (L02)

Limiting Use of Passive Voice (LO7)

Instructions, Sentences 51-57: Revise the following sentences to eliminate passive voice.

Avoiding Camouflaged Verbs (L07)

Avoiding Discriminatory Language (LOS)

Managing Sentence Content LO2, LO3, LO4 Instructions, and Sentences 1-7: Break up these sentences
into shorter, more readable sentences. You may need to reorganize and reword some of the content.

Instructions, Sentences 26-40: Underscore all negative words in these sentences. Then rewrite the
sentences for a more positive effect. Use your imagination to envision the situation for each.
