September Asb Report

Position Assessment:
September has been an amazing month that has been jam packed with events and stuff
that needs to be completed. I have been improving by being consistent in meeting with Davina to
sign paperwork as time is of the essence, especially these next few months. Also, I wrote minutes
for our updated constitution, the Mental health committee, Kyoto, and today’s ASB report. Some
of the changes in the constitution were mostly about updating the renaissance and link crew
coordinator to the academic and link crew coordinator. I donated water for the back to school
After the dance, I did an after report with a yearbook about the back to school dance. In
all things Kyoto, I filled out a few PO’s and purchased many items for the gifts to the students,
and staff of Kyoto as well as for the host families. I also created the certificates for all of the
students, which just need to be printed as of now. We’ve also been having meetings to discuss
our plans for the Mental Health Committee in terms of our write up for each chapter and designs
for our pages. For My Intent, I also helped Sofia distribute the bracelets.
In regards to Homecoming, there’s a lot that has been done so far. I created blueprints for
all of the Homecoming events including the Lip sync, windows, float, lemonade stands, and the
rally. I also created a sheet of what we’re making each day we meet up to decorate. Regarding

our mix, I co-created it alongside Sofia. I also helped Gaby, Sofia, and Abby choreo our Lip
Sync dance, but Gaby did the vast majority of the choreo which was amazing. A new podcast
Mayfield has implemented this year has been the ACE Train which is an update on events in
leadership and I’ve met with Mayfiel twice already to plan our podcast, and I’m so excited to
share what our Leadership class has been doing these past few months.
Special Committee:
Some special committees I am a part of are My Intent, The Mental Health Advocate,
Gallery of the Arts(which is spring), and the Kyoto Exchange Student program. For My Intent, I
The Kyoto committee has been great. We have ordered the plaque for the cultural
exchange to be done at the rally, gift bags for students and staff, glasses for students, gift cards
for staff, t-shirts for students, tissue paper, and mugs for the staff. Everything except the candles
we ordered for the parents has arrived. Sofia also created name tags for the student gift bags and
Aiyana, Rylee, and I helped attach the nametags. The Kyoto committee and the rally
commissioners also met on Friday to discuss the cultural exchange rally. In the rally: we created
a schedule. 10 my intent bracelets were made for the staff and we do need to make 10 more
before we finish staff gift bags. I created the certificates for all of the students as well. I created a
design for the Kyoto welcome poster and we plan on creating that soon.
The mental health committee has also met up a few times. In our meetings we have
discussed what we would like our chapter to be and we’ve completed our write for our chapter

introduction. At our last meeting we also discussed working on page designs for each chapter
Standing Committee
The standing committee that I am a part of is Link Crew. We helped at back to school night in
guiding parents and some students to their classrooms and answering any questions. Also, link
Mentorship Evaluation
I LOVE Aiyana so much. We’ve had great communication so far this year. Before core camp,
we were able to talk a little bit and we got to know each other. It’s always fun talking to Aiyana
because she’s so sweet and funny. During core camp, we got closer and I got to teach her more
about highschool and leadership life. Recently, we also had lunch together. We just talked about
her year so far and a few of her favorite activities and subjects. I look forward to getting to know
her more as the year progresses as I believe she is an intelligent, humorous, and amazing
individual.
Concerns/change:
homecoming I believe we use a lot of cardboard, paper, plastic, and various other materials to
complete our projects. However, the abundance of our materials is not good for our environment.
In turn, we should try to be more environmentally friendly in future projects. For example as a
leadership class, we can try to partner with an elementary school for Homecoming. Or leadership
4
can work on one float together. I do love the float idea for all of our classes. However, the
amount of resources we use have a negative impact on our community. Creating one float as a
class will not only be a bonding moment, but it will include a variety of designs, ideas, and
detail; quality over quantity. For instance, let us take a look over at organizations such as
Football and Cheer. Football has one float of freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity, and the same
applies to Cheer. To unite Leadership as a whole, to apply more sustainable practices, and to
involve more bodies, I believe one leadership float will be a grand turning point for our
highschool.
Positive Comment:
I’d love to give my positive comment to Tori this month. She has been doing a beautiful job as
the public relations coordinator. There is always publicity on campus. Her effort in the program
is brilliant as she is always working to keep everyone updated on events. Also, Tori is a truly
spirited person on campus. On every spirit day, dress up day, or event, she is always decked out
to represent the attire and I believe that is amazing. Tori has an optimistic mindset that always
cheers me up when I see her, so I would like to thank her for her positivity, resilience, spirit, and
hardworking attitude.
Core Principles:
These core principles resonate with me deeply and guide my actions and mindset in various
aspects of my life. "Be impeccable" reminds me of the importance of integrity and consistency in
both my words and deeds. It encourages me to uphold my commitments and promises, ensuring
that my actions align with my values. "Your Puzzle Piece Matters" emphasizes the significance
of individuality and diversity. It reminds me that every person brings a unique perspective and
contribution to any endeavor, and I strive to foster an inclusive environment that values and
5
support and encouragement for those around me, especially when they face challenges or
uncertainties. I aim to uplift others, much like a guiding light, empowering them to achieve their
goals and reach their full potential. Lastly, "Evolve and Grow with Change" speaks to the
necessity of adaptability and growth. I understand that change is a constant in life, and I embrace
it as an opportunity for personal development and learning. These core principles serve as my
compass, guiding me toward a path of authenticity, inclusivity, support, and continual growth.
My Impact:
My impact this month was being a good communicator. I always want to make sure that
freshmen or any new students are engaged, attentive, and involved in the Leadership program.
Whenever freshmen have questions I will always have an answer and be eager to help them out
with anything in life or in leadership. I understand the impact of even the smallest bit of
Mayfields laugh of the A.C.E train podcast to summarize what Leadership has been working on
in the month of September. I am also in charge of the Kyoto project, a unique program to
exchange cultures with our school and KUAS, the school in Kyoto, Japan. Being available,
