Adding Development Engine Files

DSE modules utilise engine files that are selected in the DSE Configuration Suite PC Software to suit the connected
electronic engine ECU. Updates to the electronic engine support are controlled by updates to the engine files.

1 OBTAIN FILES
Files not already contained within DSE Configuration Suite PC Software are obtained from Deep Sea Electronics
Technical Support Department (email [email protected]), these are development engine file and must
not be redistributed. Tested and approved files are contained within the regular DSE Configuration Suite PC Software
updates.

2 USING FILES
Once the file is received it must be prepared and added:
 Save the file to your computer noting the location.
 Click Tools > Add Development Engine(s)
 Navigate to the file, select it and click Open
 Read the configuration from module
 Click Application in the left hand menu. The development engine file is displayed at the top of the available
engine files list.

Successful upload of the development engine file during the


writing of the configuration is confirmed in the About section of
the modules display with a file version corresponding to that
indicated by the suppler as shown.

3 REMOVING FILES
Once the test is complete the engine file must be deleted:
 Open Manage Development Engine(s) in the Tools tab.
 Check the box of the file to be removed
 Click Delete Selected Files.

Feedback on development files is essential for future development and is greatly appreciated.
