Checking the Modification Components
Components required for this modification include:
Part No. Description Quantity
SP2G7266 Ethernet isolation circuit board 1
--- Standoff risers 2
--- Screws, M4 2
SP6H8594 Ethernet cable, 30.48 cm (1 ft) 1
Note
Each of the parts required for this modification must be ordered separately.
Important
• Because this modification is selective, it is not required.
• Newer KODAK DIRECTVIEW CLASSIC/ELITE CR Systems that already have the required direct-connect
hardware installed will be marked as having Modification No. 17 installed.
Note
The recommended method for connecting these CR Systems is to have a separate customer network connection for
the scanner and the computer. However, removing the scanner from the network, as outlined in this procedure, may
help minimize problems with the customer network if there are performance issues with the customer network or if
an extra IP address is not available.

• If IP addresses other than those used in this procedure are required, change the IP settings and the computer
scanner NIC settings.
• Customers that use the 192.168.0 subnet for their network may require settings other than those identified in
this procedure. For assistance in changing the settings, contact the Carestream Health Technical Support Center
(TSC).
