A. Pre-Viewing The teacher will discuss the previous lesson about analogy.
An Analogy is a term that means “word relationships”. Analogies are like a

An analogy is merely a comparison of two things that are usually thought of as
being different, but are similar in some ways. It provides you life-long benefits

improving your vocabulary skills, speeding up your reading comprehension,
enhancing your Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and developing your verbal
reasoning abilities. Having mastered this skill is like possessing a magic wand
for it eliminates obstacles in your reading comprehension.

they love to watched. After that, the teacher will ask them what

4. Presentation

Viewing Genre is another type of genre which is in a form of visual. Meaning,


something that it is seen or viewed especially that of found in television screen
or in an internet-based programs. We have learned that most of our activities,
especially with the advent of the internet, gadget and digital revolution, are
spent on watching TV, surfing net and watching videos on Youtube, Netflix,and
the like. Almost every day, access on these social media platforms are evident,
thus simply implies of the important role it has contributed to our day to day
life.
Like any other genre, the materials we view on screen come in different
forms, purpose and intended audience. Now, hold on and let’s continue
exploring the visual world.
Genre of Viewing
 Animation- these are the cartoons we see on screen. Inanimate objects
or drawings appear to move in motion picture or computer graphics.
Their themes vary as well as the target group. Some are for toddlers,
kids while some are for teenagers
Examples: princess Sarah, Ice age, Frozen etc.
 Trailer- it is also known as a preview that gives highlights of the film,
features of a film that will be exhibited in the future at a cinema usually
to attract viewers to watch the movie
 Educational – this show or program is highly informational and can be
intended for children, teenagers or adults. Sometimes they come in
episodes focusing on a particular theme. Some use demonstration
techniques such as shows which instruct viewers how to make crafts,
arts etc.
Examples: Hiraya Manawari, National Geographic etc.
