Identified Group project for Industrial Management course, Chemical

Engineering Department

Objective: The general objective of this project is to apply the theoretical concepts,
tools and techniques of project management learned in classes to real time project
management scenarios.

Select any Project which is in progress and respond to the following deliverables using
MS Project software.

Project Deliverables:

Part I: General description

1.1. Project description


1.2. Project scope
1.3. The detailed project Work breakdown structure (WBS)
1.4. The detailed organizational break down structure (OBS)
1.5. The integration of WBS and OBS

Part II: project planning and scheduling based on probabilistic time estimate
2.1. Construct a Gantt chart
2.2. Make the required resource allocation and level the resources if they are
over allocated.
2.3. Report the budget at completion (BAC) for each activity
Part III: project monitoring

3.1. Report the earned value analysis


3.2. Forecast the project performance based on the earned value analysis

N.B. Make reasonable estimations and assumptions wherever necessary

Deadline: 14th June 2021


Presentation: 15th June 2021
