SHS DanceSports AuditionGuidelines

This document provides guidelines for a dance sports audition being held by Davao Doctors College, Inc. It outlines the mechanics for three dance disciplines: Modern Standard, Latin, and Third World. DANCE SPORTS AUDITION GUIDELINES

DANCE SPORTS
MECHANICS:
a. MODERN STANDARD DISCIPLINE

1. The performance for Modern Standard Discipline shall execute Slow Waltz, Tango, and Quick
Step.
2. Attire must be modest and appropriate for the kind of dance being performed.
3. There will only be a DANCE-ALL AND INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE for all performers.
4. Modern Standard contestants must provide their OWN ROUTINE.
5. Their own choreographed routine not more than 1min. provided for Modern Standard shall be
performed in the Asclepius A401-A402. Audition time will be form 4:30pm-7:00pm.
6. There shall only be one (1) official music to be used during the audition. This will be provided by
the committee. The music will be heard during the audition proper.
7. All performers must answer and submit the form provided on or before September 3,2023, 3:00pm.

8. The result of every dance will be individually ranked.

b. Latin Discipline (1 couple per team)

1. The performance for Latin American Discipline shall execute Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, and Jive.
2. Attire must be modest and appropriate for the kind of dance being performed.
3. There will only be a DANCE-ALL AND INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE for all performers.
4. Latin American contestants must provide their OWN ROUTINE.
5. Their own choreographed routine not more than 1min. provided for Latin American shall be
performed in the Asclepius A401-A402. Audition time will be form 4:30pm-7:00pm.

2. Attire must be modest and appropriate for the kind of dance being performed.

4. Third World contestants must provide their OWN ROUTINE.
5. Their own choreographed routine not more than 1min. provided for Third World shall be performed
in the Asclepius A401-A402. Audition time will be form 4:30pm-7:00pm.
