The presentation template should have given you some good ideas about what you needed to show the
client and all your work in Task 1 should give you a better idea of where Fast Cars majority scope 3
emissions are coming from.

The SBTi website consolidates many of the targets set by real companies, including in the automotive
industry. Did you pick the same examples that we did? Even if ours were slightly different, the result is
overwhelmingly the same: automotive companies are setting scope 3 emissions reduction targets to
reduce their downstream emissions.

That information along with the additional resources should have pointed you in the direction of the
potential initiatives. Did you think of the same ideas as us? If not - that’s great. That’s why we work in
teams at BCG so that there are a lot of different ideas going around.
