(1) This document describes different commoner variants or subclasses, including beggars, kidnappers, militias, petty thieves, predators, prey, scavengers, slaves, and slavers. (2) Each variant has different starting abilities, hit dice, skill focuses, and maximum levels. (3) For example, beggars can reach 10th level and gain skill focuses in begging, while prey are limited to 6th level and gain one skill focus at 5th level.

Commoner Variants II:

Different types of Commoner: from beggars to Murderers!


Starting Budget: 20 + 4d4 silver coins (except Brother of the Bowl, who start with 5 sp).

Each get the lowest Magic Attack Bonus of +5 total at 20 th level.


Dodge and Parry are as normal Commoner, but rises to 20 th level. (Note: Except the Prey
and Brotherhood of the Bowl, who get a Defence similar to the Scholar Class; See Below).
As usual, Commoner Variants are Illiterate as the rest.
Skill Focus is only in the Class Skills of that particular Variant.

Types:
Brotherhood of the Bowl:
Other Variants: Beggar.

Hit Dice: 1d4.


Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency: (any one).
Base Attack Bonus: +5 Max at 10th level.
Saves: Low Fortitude, Reflex and Will.
Skills: (2 +Int Modifier): Hide, Listen, Perform (Cower),
Profession (Beggar) and Spot.

Special: Gains Skill Focus: (Profession: Beggar) at 1st level as a free feat, Skill Focus Feat
at 5th, 10th.

Note: Can only achieve a maximum of 10th level and cannot take a level in another Class
unless they use a Fate Point, which means the chances are small.
Kidnappers: (Male Only)
Hit Dice: 1d6.

Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency (Choose three),


Exotic Weapon Proficiency: (Blowgun).

Base Attack Bonus: +10 Max at 20th level.


Saves: Low Fortitude and Reflex, High Will.
Skills: (6 +Int Modifier): Appraise, Bluff, Craft (Herbalism),
Diplomacy, Gather Information, Hide, Intimidate, Knowledge
(Local), Knowledge (Rumour), Move Silently, Profession
(Kidnapper), Ride, Sense Motive, Use Rope.
Special: Gains Skill Focus: (Profession: Kidnapper) at 1st level as
a free feat, Skill Focus Feat at 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th.

Militia or City-Watch: (Male Only)


Hit Dice: 1d8.
Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency, Light Armour
Proficiency, Shield Proficiency.
Base Attack Bonus: +15 Max at 20th level.
Saves: High Fortitude, Low Reflex and Will.
Skills: (4 +Int Modifier): Gather Information, Handle Animal,
Intimidate, Knowledge (Local), Knowledge (Rumour), Listen,
Profession (Militia or City-Watch), Sense Motive, Spot.
Special: Gains Alertness at 1st level as a free feat, Skill Focus Feat at 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th.

Petty Thief:
Hit Dice: 1d6.

Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency (any one).

Base Attack Bonus: +10 Max at 20th level.

Saves: Low Fortitude and Will, High Reflex.

Skills: (6 +Int Modifier): Appraise, Balance, Bluff, Climb, Disable


Devise, Gather Information, Hide, Knowledge (Local), Knowledge
(Rumour), Listen, Move Silently, Open Lock, Use Rope, Search,
Spot.

Special: Gains Nimble Fingers at 1st level as a free feat, Skill Focus
Feat at 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th.
Predator: (Male Only)
Other Variants: Cutthroats, Muggers, Murderer, Rapist,
Street Gang Youths, Thugs.

Hit Dice: 1d8.


Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency, Light Armour
Proficiency.
Base Attack Bonus: +15 Max at 20th level.
Saves: High Fortitude and Reflex, Low Will.
Skills: (2 +Int Modifier): Climb, Intimidate, Jump, Sense
Motive, Use Rope.
Special: Gains Skill Focus: (Intimidate) at 1st level as a free
feat, Skill Focus Feat at 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th.

Prey:
Other Variants: Addicted, Fallen, Perverted, and the Weak.
Hit Dice: 1d4.
Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency: (any one).
Base Attack Bonus: +3 Max at 6th level.
Saves: Low Fortitude, Reflex and Will.
Skills: (2 +Int Modifier): Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Perform
(Beg), and Spot.
Special: Skill Focus Feat at 5th level.

Note: Maximum level for 'Prey,' is only 6th level and never gain a level in another Class
unless they use a Fate Point, which means the chances of that happening is small.

Scavenger:
Hit Dice: 1d6.

Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency: (any one, plus


unarmed strike and rock throwing).

Base Attack Bonus: +10 Max at 20th level.

Saves: Low Fortitude, Reflex and Will.

Skills: (3 +Int Modifier): Bluff, Climb, Disguise, Hide, Jump,


Move Silently, Search, Sleight of Hand, and Spot.

Special: Gain Stealthy at 1st level as a free Feat. Skill Focus


Feats as 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th.
Slave:
Hit Dice: 1d4.

Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency: (any one, mostly


knife or Unarmed Strike).

Base Attack Bonus: +5 Max at 10th level.

Saves: High Fortitude, Low Reflex and Will.

Skills: (3 +Int Modifier): Bluff, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Animal,


Hide, Knowledge (Local), Listen, Move Silently, Profession
(Slave), Sense Motive, Spot.

Special: Gains Skill Focus: (Profession: Slave) at 1st level as a free


feat, Skill Focus Feat at 5th and 10th.

Slaver: (Male Only)


Hit Dice: 1d6.

Class Features: Simple Weapon Proficiency, Exotic Weapon


Proficiency: (Whip), Light Armour Proficiency.

Base Attack Bonus: +10 Max at 20th level.

Saves: Low Fortitude, High Reflex and Will.

Skills: (4 +Int Modifier): Appraise, Bluff, Gather Information,


Handle Animal, Hide, Intimidate, Knowledge (Local), Knowledge
(Rumour), Move Silently, Profession (Slaver), Ride, Sense Motive,
Use Rope.

Special: Gains Skill Focus: (Profession: Slaver) at 1st level as a free


feat, Skill Focus Feat at 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th.
