Frozen Script

Anna, Elsa, Narrators, King, Queen, Prince Hans, Kristoff, Olaf, Head Troll,
Townspeople

Narrator: Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Arandelle, lived the king, queen and
their two daughters, Elsa and Anna.

Narrator: The girls were best friends and played together all the time.

Anna: Do you want to build a snowman?

Elsa: Sure! I’ll use my powers!

Narrator: Elsa had magical powers that meant she could create ice, snow and frost
whenever she wanted. One night, disaster struck:

Anna: Ow!

Elsa: Mom, Dad, come quick, it’s happened again! I’ve hurt Anna, but I didn’t
mean to.

King: Come on, we have to get to the trolls quickly, they can save her.

Narrator: The troll king had magical powers that could heal Anna.

Troll King: I have healed her, but I’m going to have to erase her memory, so she will
have no recollection of Elsa’s powers or what has happened.

Queen: Elsa, you nearly killed your sister! We have to keep your powers under
control. No more freezing.

Narrator: From then on, Elsa had to wear special gloves all the time and could
never let her powers out again.

K, Q, & E: “Conceal don’t feel, don’t let them know.”

Narrator: She was so afraid of hurting her sister that she spent most of her time by
herself in her room.

Anna: Elsa, do you want to build a snowman?

Elsa: Go away Anna!

Narrator: When the girls were teenagers, a terrible thing happened: their parents
died at sea in a big storm. They were all alone.

Narrator: The time came for Elsa to become Queen, and on the coronation day
there were lots of celebrations in the kingdom. Afraid of her powers,
Elsa didn’t feel like celebrating.

Elsa: Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know.

Narrator: Meanwhile, Anna was enjoying the festivities and met handsome Prince
Hans of the Southern Isles. Suddenly –

Hans: Will you marry me?

Anna: Ok, cool!

Narrator: Elsa was furious that Anna had agreed to marry the prince.

Elsa: You can’t marry him!

Anna: Why??

Elsa: Because you’ve just met him! You can’t marry someone you’ve just met!

Narrator: Elsa was so angry that her powers exploded and she caused everything to
freeze around her!

(Visitors at coronation gasp, horrified)

Elsa: Oh no, what have I done?!

Narrator; Terrified of what everyone would think, Elsa ran away to the mountains,
and without realising it, unleashes an eternal winter everywhere.

Anna: I have to go and find my sister. Prince Hans, you are now in charge of the
kingdom.

Narrator: Anna went out searching for Elsa, determined to bring her home. On the
way she met, Olaf, a friendly snowman, and Kristoff, an iceman, who
help guide her on her way.

Olaf: Oh I can’t wait for summer! I wish we could get some sunshine and heat
around here!

Narrator: They finally reached Elsa’s ice palace:

Elsa: Anna, go away!

Anna: No Elsa you have to come back with me to the castle, you’re the queen!

Elsa: I’m dangerous you shouldn’t be here!

Anna: What are you talking about, come on –

Elsa: NO! (strikes her with ice)

Anna: Ow!

Narrator: After Elsa struck Anna in the heart with ice, she reluctantly fled the ice
palace with Kristoff and Olaf.

Kristoff: Anna, are you all right? Your hair is turning white.

Anna: I’m fine, I’m just a little weak, that’s all.

Olaf: No, there’s something wrong with her. We need to get help for her.

Kristoff: I know just the place…

Narrator: Kristoff brought Anna to the Troll King, the one who had healed her
when she was a child.

Troll King: Her heart has been frozen. If she cannot be thawed by an act of true love,
then she will be frozen solid forever.

Kristoff: Quick, we have to get you back to Hans, Anna! He’s your fiancée, he has
to be your true love’s kiss!

Narrator: Hans, meanwhile, has been searching for Elsa and imprisons her and
brings her back to Arandelle.

Elsa: Get off me, leave me alone!

Narrator: Kristoff and Olaf eventually deliver Anna back to Hans in the castle, and
Kristoff leaves. However, they didn’t realise that he was actually evil,
and only wanted to marry Anna so that he could become king of
Arandelle! He leaves Anna to die.

Anna: Hans, no!

Narrator: Meanwhile, Kristoff realised that he loved Anna and comes back to
Arandelle to find her.
Kristoff: Anna, where are you? I can’t find you in the blizzard!

Anna: I’m here!

Narrator: Before he gets a chance to kiss her, Anna is frozen solid trying to protect
Elsa from evil Prince Hans, who is about to attack her.

Elsa: (Crying) Anna, I’m so sorry, what have I done?

Narrator: As Elsa wept for her sister, Anna thawed out.

Elsa: You’re alive!

Anna: You saved me!

Narrator: Elsa’s tears were an act of true love, and were enough to save Anna from
being frozen forever.

Elsa: I finally know how to end the winter – love is the key!

Narrator: And with that, the big freeze ended and Arandelle went back to normal.
Olaf even got to enjoy the summer without melting!

Olaf: This is great!

Elsa: Take Hans back to the southern isles to be punished. You’ll never set
foot here again! And I promise never to close the castle gates again. From now on
they are going to be open for everyone!
