Do you want to work with sustainability in practice? Are you excited about working with sustainability and would
you like to work in a company with a large potential for influencing change? Do you think it is motivating to work
with data to create impacts?
With our MissionZero sustainability programme, we aim to accelerate sustainability in the mining and cement
industries. We have set Science Based Targets which also includes a target for our suppliers that 30% of our
spend in 2025 is with suppliers that have their own science-based targets. We actively collaborate with our
suppliers to assist them in measuring emissions and establishing targets, and we're looking to allocate
additional resources to advance these efforts.
In this role, you will be a vital member of a newly formed team, the Sustainable Supply Chain team. Reporting to
our experienced Head of Sustainable Supply Chain, who specializes in sustainability within the supply chain,
you'll be situated within our Sustainability and External Affairs department. You'll also become an integral part of
FLSmidth's broader sustainability community, engaging in cross-organizational collaborations, including
colleagues in Finance and Compliance. Naturally, close collaboration with our Procurement teams is also a part
of the role. This position will be based at our headquarters in Valby.
We know you have a life outside of work which is why we offer a range of benefits that allow you to plan your life
accordingly. We therefore endeavor to promote a lifestyle that meets your individual needs while also enabling
you to be fully engaged at work.
Your responsibilities:
We expect you will take the lead on collecting data from suppliers on e.g. emissions and traceability
of raw materials. Some of this is already in place, but we expect you will support developing the
improvement of the processes in relation to data collection, which should also provide you with
opportunities to learn. These tasks will require some degree of operational tasks and it is important
that you are motivated by this and understands how this is the foundation for any impact later.
We expect you will conduct supplier assessments on sustainability which involves engagement with
several internal stakeholders as well as suppliers.
We expect you will participate in building capacity internally on sustainability in supply chain through
different types of engagement e.g. presentations to Procurement. The content could be SBTs and our
Supplier Code of Conduct.
One of the first concrete tasks you should expect is coordinating and driving the update of our
Supplier Code of Conduct. This will require stakeholder management, project management as well as
communication skills. You should also be prepared to be involved in CSRD preparations.
As the sustainability agenda evolves fast, you should expect that we continuously need to develop. We need to
change our ways of working, our processes and to adapt to new requirements needing even more data. You
should expect to get tasks for which you may not know much from the start but where you will develop this
knowledge on the go.
Relevant Master’s degree or similar. Recent graduates are very welcome to apply for this role.
Knowledge and experience with international standards such as UN Guiding Principles on Business
and Human Rights and OECD Due Diligence Guidance.
Knowledge and/or experience with Science Based Targets, CSRD, EU Taxonomy and other
sustainability related frameworks and legislation.
You have very good data management skills.
You are attentive to details, structured and analytical so you can support e.g., reporting and making
different types of analyses of the data we have available.
You have strong communication and collaboration skills.
You are dependable and focus on driving results in a complex organization, and you always act with
integrity.
You enjoy working with different nationalities.
English at fluent level both spoken and written is required. Other languages are an advantage. Danish
is not a requirement as you will be working in an international organization.
