Importance of HR metrics in organization


Customer oriented approach is been adopted by many organizations lately. With the help of
HR metrics , the impact of management processes and cost can be calculated as useful
information is provided by them that helps to take these decisions. The data related to
retention, engagement of employees and performance can be calculated with the help of
metrics. Organizations are benefitted from these metrics as data to analyse and solve the
problems is provided by them. HR metrics helps the organizations to take positive actions.
Metrics for recruitment, Training and development, Performance Management are mentioned
below:

● Recruitment

1. Correct time for Hiring new candidates


The metrics help to analyse the number of positions vacant in the organization. Moreover, it
also helps to keep track of the time that is taken to fill a particular job posted. It also helps to
the analyse whether the job candidates is perfect match for organization or not.
2. The cost involved in the recruitment process
The cost involved in the recruitment process can be calculated with help of HR metrics and
the overall amount spent during this process can be tracked and this will be helpful for future
recruitments.
3. Quality of candidates
The quality of candidates can be analysed with the help of HR metrics .The organization will
benefit from the skilled professionals and their talent can be analysed with these metrics

● Training and development

1. Time and resources


Time and resources devoted while training the new candidate is calculated.
2.Profit
The revenue and profit of the organization is calculated which helps to track the set targets.
3.The cost
The resources used while giving training are analysed and the efficiency of these training
programs is also calculated.

● Performance Management

1.360 degree Analysis


The feedback is received from all the professionals irrespective of their position and this
feedback is helpful for the organization.
2. Ranking
The manager gives the ranking to their employees which is done according to their
performance and the bad performers can be identified.
3. Number of sales
The output of employees is assessed and feedback is given.
