Technosafe is the approved applicator for all fire stop products. We offer a whole range of firestopping
products & services.

Firestopping products are required when the fire rated wall / floor is penetrated by ducts, pipes, and cables.
The fire rating of the wall is compromised and needs to be fire stopped to maintain the fire rating, integrity
and insulation as per international codes.

Fire Stopping MUST be done using approved products, assemblies and systems.

1.1 INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this document is to define the quality plan for the installation of the Fire Protection &
Detection system in Qatar in accordance with the contract.

1.3 Scope

This document is applicable to all personnel involved in the activities performed by TECHNOSAFE
relating to the above contract.

TECHNOSAFE acknowledge precedence of this Quality Plan over the Quality Systems
Documentation.

2.1 DOCUMENT CONTROLS

2.2 Amendment Procedure

The initial Quality Plan will be approved by the Manager and the Director of TECHNOSAFE TRADING
AND ENGINEERING WLLand submitted to the CUSTOMER for their approval.
Subsequent amendments will also be subject to both TECHNOSAFE and CUSTOMER approval before
any updates are issued to Quality Plan holders.

 Amendments will consist of a re-issue of the complete document; details of the changes will be
recorded in the Amendment Record Sheet. It is the responsibility of the Quality Plan holder to

2.4 Quality Plan Responsibility

2.4.1The sole responsibility for the control of this document lies with the Project Manager of
TECHNOSAFE .

2.4.2 All requests for changes to this document should be addressed, in writing, to the ProjectManager
with a Copy to GM, TECHNOSAFE stating the reason for the change and the recommended
change required.

2.4.3 Requests to be included, as a ‘controlled’ copyholder should also be addressed, in writing, to

the Project Manager, TECHNOSAFE stating the reason for the request, Company and Position.

The General Manager has overall responsibility to ensure that the jobs executed under the
Contract related to Contract specifications.

Project Manager has specific responsibility in respect of the individual jobs undertaken, including
variations, programmer/co-ordination, progress, and the application of Quality Assurance
Procedures as defined in this plan.

 3.1.4 Quality Assurance / Quality Control

The Project Manager is responsible for overall co-ordination of the Quality Assurance and
Quality Control activities.

3.1.5 Designing /Material Control

Project Manager & Project Engineer has responsibility for co-ordination of purchasing against
requisitions, receipt, receipt inspection, storage and issue of materials associated with the jobs
executed under the Contract, having regard to approved sources, specification, requirements and
programs in liaison with Project Management.

3.1.6 Project Management

Project Manager of Client is the representative for all matters related to jobs executed under the
contract.

3.1.7 Communications

3.1.7.1 All written communications from Technosafe Trading and Engineering WLL relating to the
Contract should be addressed or copied to Project Manager of Client

3.1.7.2 All written communications from Client relating to the Contract should be addressed or
copied to General Manager of Techno safe.

3.2 Scope of Work:

The scope covers supply, and delivery to site, erection, testing & commissioning of Fire
Protection & Detection.

3.3 EXCLUSION

1) All civil works.

2) All road crossings, etc for pipes and cables.
3) Input power supply for panels and equipment.
4) Electricity, water and necessary facilities at site for carrying work.

3.4 QUALITY SYSTEM

The quality assurance system applies to all the activities of the company. The Quality Assurance
System is fully documented and structured in 3 levels.

Level 1: Quality Manual

This document details the corporate quality policy and structure of the company and references
appropriate operating procedures.

These documents describe the actual process, and control applied, to all activities concerned
with the attachment of a quality assured contracting services.

Level 3: Quality Planning.

As the company operates a standard type and range of services, customer satisfaction and
quality are achieved by operation in accordance with the documented quality system. Specific
customer requirements are identified and documented during the contract review process, allowing
these requirements to be communicated and achieved, ensuring satisfaction of all the customers
declared needs.

3.5 Job File

3.5.1 A Job File is maintained for each job executed.
3.5.2 Each Job File contains the following data as a minimum: -

5.1 SYSTEMS CONTROL

5.2 Sub-Contractor and Suppliers Controls

5.2.1 Where applicable, Sub-Contractor and Suppliers of items will be selected from the
approved list or specified. TECHNOSAFE only use sub-contractors who can demonstrate their
ability to provide products to specified requirements and quality.

5.2.2 Orders will require agreement to audit verification as required. This is also to be
extended to Client and nominees thereof via insertion of standard text in the purchase order.

5.2.3 Sub-supplier document control will be established as orders are placed.

5.3 Deviation and Waiver Control

5.3.1 All non-conforming product/material will be dealt with in accordance with

TECHNOSAFE Quality Systems procedure for the control and disposition ofnon-
conforming material. This material will be clearly identified and where practical
segregated.

5.3.2 Any product/material or workmanship not complying with approved

specifications/drawings; designated ‘use as is’ or ‘repair’ will be communicated to
TECHNOSAFE for deviation/waiver approval.

5.3.3 The Project Manager will maintain a log of all requests to

TECHNOSAFE for deviations/waivers

5.4 Contract Data

5.4.1 A project file will be maintained of all correspondence for each job executed,
containing certificates and major sub-contract purchase orders, providing
traceability of material and vendors used throughout the execution of each job.

5.4.2 A Quality Control file will be maintained of all Q.C. activities performed on each
job executed.
5.5 Document Retention

5.5.1 All documents/records raised during each job will be maintained in accordance
with the Quality Systems Procedure for Records Retention 3 years

5.6 Audits

5.6.1 Formal Quality Assurance Audit throughout the duration of the contract will be
undertaken in accordance with the Audit Schedule.

5.6.2 Audits are conducted for Internal Quality Auditing for 3 years.

5.7 Hold Points

5.7.1 Hold points are indicated on the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)

5.8 Records / Training

Storage facilities are allocated which ensure that all stored records are identifiable and
retrievable,and all the storage area are free from damp and other agents which could cause
premature deterioration.

Where records are maintained on computer magnetic media and these are subject to back-
up information being stored in a protected location to ensure security from loss/damage of
active area.

All records are retained for a minimum of 3 years.

The policy of the company is to ensure that all personnel are trained and experienced to the
extentnecessary to undertake their assigned activities and responsibilities effectively. The
company generally procures and recruits employees capable of meeting the technical, skills,
experience, andeducational requirements of the company s activities

All staff and senior employees are responsible for recommending the training to others, and
for ensuring that all employees’ allocated specific tasks are suitably qualified and
experienced to execute those tasks. Once training needs are identified these are provided
under the responsibility of the Directors.

Full records are maintained of all training undertaken by employees.
