YELL COMPETITION
GUIDELINES
A yell competition, often referred to as a cheerleading or cheer competition,
involves teams or individuals performing energetic and synchronized routines that
include cheers, chants, dance, and stunts.
1. All participants must be bona fide students of the Liberty Integrated School
2. Each faction must form a group of students who will perform their Yell. It must
be at least twenty (20) students will participate.
3. The Yell’s duration must only be at least one (1) minute and two (2) minutes
at max. Points will be deducted for every lacking or exceeding second.
4. Each group should represent the color of their faction.
5. Performers may use props and effects but make sure to clean the
unnecessary props after the performance.
6. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and irrevocable.
7. Criteria for Judging:
CRITERIA PERCENTAGE
Concept and Theme 40%
Entertainment and Novelty Value 30%
Overall Impact 15%
Props, Music, and Effects 15%
TOTAL 100%
