1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. Project Description

Daewoo International Coporation (Myanmar E&P) has awarded Hyundai Heavy

Industries (HHI) The SHWE Field Development Project (SHWE Project), due to
commence works in November 2011.

The SHWE and SHWE Phyu fields are located in block A-1 in the bay of Bengal; the
Mya field is located within block A-3 in in the bay of Bengal to the South-East of
SHWE. Both Fields are offshore Western Myanmar in approximatley 110m water
depth for SHWE Filed and 186m water depth for Mya North.

The produced gas from SHWE and Mya North will be processed at the SHWE
Platform, then the processed gas will be transported through a 32” diameter gas
export pipeline, approximatly 110 Km long to an onshore gas terminal (OGT) NEAR
Kyauk Phyu in Ramree Island, Rakhine State, Myanmar.

Grout bags will be required to be installed to provide support under the new 32”
export pipeline and 14” intra-field pipline.

1.2. Grouting System

Grout will be mixed on deck in a FoundOcean M6 12V high shear colloidal batch
mixer which produces cement slurries of high density and consistency. Grout will
be pumped into the fabric formwork after Diver positioning with the aid of an
Installation skid for formwork deployment. Once the bag position has been
accepted by the Client grouting will commence. The formworks incorporate
insertion points into which the diver will insert a grout nozzle connected to the
grout hose.

The volume of grout required for each grout bag size can be seen in Appendix A.

This document details the grouting materials and methods, together with the
equipment schedule necessary for the successful performance of the grouting
operations. Any necessary contingency grouting procedures are also described
herein.

4. GROUTING MATERIALS, STRENGTH DATA AND QUANTITIES

4.1. Fabric Formwork Material

The main formwork is manufactured from woven, fibrillated and twisted

polypropylene with the following characteristics:

Warp : 2650N/5 cm width ) Tensile test based on constant

Weft : 2380N/5cm width ) extension of 20cm/min
Weight: 250 g/m²

This material is inert non-degradable and is the 'standard' material as used for
subsea works of this type.

The material shall be protected at all times from prolonged exposure to direct
sunlight.

Any cutting of the material shall be by the 'hotknife' method to prevent fraying at
seams and edges.

Sewing thread shall be TK 13 Bonded Nylon.

Internal Straps Material

Internal vertical straps are located from 200 mm to a maximum of 0.5m spacing
(on plan) to regulate vertical height of top of formwork, e.g. on an inclined support
bag.

The strap material is manufactured from synthetic polyester with a breaking

strength of 1300 kgs. This material is non-degradable.

General Construction

The dimensions of the formwork assembly will be as shown on drawings provided

by the client or developed by FO from information supplied by the client.

The fabrication tolerance will be ±75mm on any horizontal dimension and ±25mm
on any vertical dimensions.

Horizontal Reinforcement

Internal layers of polypropylene material within the formwork will both reinforce
and maintain an acceptable geometry to the formwork.

These internal layers will be provided at an average vertical spacing of 0.25m.

Vertical Reinforcement

Where control of the height or gradient of the top of the formwork is required a
grid pattern of vertical straps will be fabricated between the top and next lower
sheet of material. The spacing of these straps will be dependent upon the degree
of gradient but are generally located at 200mm centres but will not be more than
0.5m.

Vertical Stability

Where formwork (bolster and infill support bags) is manufactured to a height in

excess of 0.3m, then the sides of the formwork will have a gradient of 1:2 (1
horizontal, 2 vertical) to maintain stability.

4.2. Materials Requirements

The materials required for grouting of the fabric formworks have been calculated
as follows:

Bag Type Quantity Volume (m3) Cement (tonnes)

FO Type 12/300 2 4.56 6.07

4.4. Grout Mix Design

The grout mix to be used for filling each fabric formwork will have the following
proportions:

• 100 parts by weight Portland cement ASTM C150/150M Type I/II

• 44 parts by weight Seawater

When mixed in these proportions, the grout has a specific gravity of 1.92 and a
yield of 0.751m3 slurry/tonne of cement, and will achieve compressive strengths in
excess of 40MPa at 28 days.

Continuously mixed slurry having a specific gravity of less than 1.90 will not be
pumped into any formwork.

In the event of a breakdown of longer than one hour any slurry in the mixer or
pump will be discarded.

5. QUALITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS

5.1. Materials

Cement should be less than four months old and be free of lumps. Prior to transfer
of the cement onto the work vessel the manufacturers’ certificates shall be
submitted to the Client for approval. Prior to transfer of the cement on board, a
check is to be made that all silos are clear of all traces of old cement.

5.2. Slurry Density Measurements

Measurement of slurry densities will be made using a pressurised slurry density

balance in the manner described in API Spec 10. Particular attention will be paid
to ensure that the balance is cleaned and dried after filling and prior to balancing.

6. RESTRICTIONS ON GROUTING

6.1. Fabric Formwork Grouting

Grouting of a fabric formwork will not commence until the Client is satisfied that:

a) Materials sufficient to mix twice the nominal formwork volume are available
on board the work vessel.

b) A thorough survey has been carried out of the formwork site and no
obstructions or hazards have been observed.

c) The formwork has been correctly positioned on location and is securely

fixed to the sea floor.

6.2. Pumping Pressures

The pressures given in this section are all gauge pressures, relative to atmospheric
pressure, measured above sea level. Suitable allowances should be made if the
pressures are measured elsewhere.

The pumping pressure shall not exceed 300 psig (20.6bar) during continuous grout
pumping. In the event of a blockage occurring in the grout line downstream from
the grout pump and before the formwork inlet, the grout pump pressure shall not
exceed 400 psig (27.5bar) during attempts to clear the blockage.

NUMBER: GR 5722 0191 QUALITY SYSTEM PROCEDURE

7. GROUTING PROCEDURES

With the work vessel in position above the worksite an underwater survey of the
formwork locations should be carried out to ensure the area is free of any
obstructions or hazards.

When this survey has been performed, the following procedures shall be
implemented. For clarity, the production of grout has been detailed separately
from the placing and filling of grout bags even though the operations may be
concurrent

7.1. Mixing and Pumping Grout

Deployment of the grout hose and pumping of grout will proceed only on the
instructions of the Grouting supervisor, in conjunction with the Dive supervisor, and
will continue until the instruction to stop is given by the client.

The grout will be mixed in accordance with the requirements of Sections 4.3.

In addition to the preliminary specific gravity checks during 'batching up',

additional samples will be taken throughout the mixing process.

If pumping is delayed or interrupted for a period of 30 minutes or more the grout

hose will be flushed with seawater and the grout in the mixer shall be monitored to
ensure that no excessive thickening takes place which could lead to a blockage.
For this reason it is essential that good communications are maintained between
the surface and the seabed. If grouting is delayed for more than 1 hour any grout in
the mixer shall be discarded.

7.2. Placing and Filling of Grout Bags

A grouting schedule will be agreed with the vessel superintendent and the fabric
formworks will be prepared in accordance with this schedule. Accordingly the
following procedures will be implemented;

a) The first bag will be rolled up and secured t o a weight and lowered to
the worksite.

b) The Diver will release the securing of the grout bag to the clump weight and
position the bag.

c) After the diver has correctly positioned the bag, it shall be pegged to the
seabed using the loops at the corners and the sides of the formwork
structure.

d) Once the bag has been successfully installed under the pipe the grout line
will be lowered to the worksite. Seawater will be pumped down the grout
line, where the diver will confirm if good returns are flowing from the insertion
nozzle.

e) Once the diver has noted good returns from the nozzle grout mixing will
commence. Once grout is mixed pumping will commence.

f) When good quality grout is flowing from the end of the hose the diver will
inform the surface to stop/slow pumping whilst the nozzle is inserted into the
grout bag.

g) When the nozzle is inserted the pumping rate may be increased. After
sufficient grout has entered to stabilise the bag the diver should check that
the orientation and position of the bag is still correct and that the
compartments are filling evenly.

h) Grout should continue to be pumped until good quality grout is observed

by the diver coming from the vents. At this stage each compartment
should be completely filled.

i) The diver will notify surface that filling is complete and pumping will be
stopped. If the bag is at an obscure angle and grout continues flowing
from one of the vent pipes on the top of the fabric formwork then it may be
necessary for the diver to close one or more vents by folding the flexible
vent pipe and securing with a tie wrap or similar

j) The injection nozzle can then be removed and the self-sealing internal
valve should prevent the grout from flowing out. Once the grout nozzle is
removed from the grout bag the flushing of the grout hose can commence.

k) A curing period of 12hrs is required allowing the initial base grout formwork
to harden. A cup sample will be taken to monitor the grout curing process.

l) Once the base stage has cured sufficiently to support the weight of the
upper stage, grouting can recommence to the following stages.
Continuous monitoring will be in place to ensure that the fabric formworks
do not exceed the height needed to rectify the span.

8. CONTINGENCY PROCEDURES DURING FORMWORK GROUTING

OPERATIONS

8.1. High Pumping Pressure during Grouting

High pumping pressure may be caused by one of the following:

a) Closed valve on deployment skid

b) Blocked outlet/vent pipe
c) Crimped or twisted injection hose
d) Fabric Formwork full of grout

Action - check all valves and inspect hoses for twists and excessive slack
resulting in crimps. Give the hoses any additional support needed. If necessary
get the diver to check for twists or kinks in the hose

8.2. Leakage from a Fabric Formwork

If any leaks are noticed during grouting operations assessment of their significance
and the decision on remedial action is to be made jointly by the Diving
Contractor, Grouting Contractor and the Client's Rep., the following action may
be taken.

a) Cease pumping for a few minutes and allow the grout to set slightly thus
self-sealing the leakage before attempting to continue filling the formwork.

b) Carry out repairs necessary to the grout bag by 'crimping' the leakage
area with hose clips or inserting a cloth into the hole.

Generally any minor leaks will self seal once the grout begins to set

8.3. Unevenly Filled Fabric Formwork

Should a grout bag compartment fill unevenly, ( IE. only one vent port emitting
grout) the diver should block off functional port. This will shift the flow of grout to
the other vent, allowing the compartment to fill evenly.

8.4. Grouting Spread Failure

If the grout spread fails for any reason, assess time to carry out repairs. If repair is
anticipated to exceed 30 minutes, then the grout abort procedures will be
implemented.

8.5. Grouting Abort

If it is necessary to abort before the grouting is complete; e.g. if there is a delay of

longer than 30 minutes in pumping, the installation skid, subsea connector and
