Proposed Program:
Course Description: The training program is designed to enhance values, skills and competencies of social
workers of this Office in handling and managing cases in court towards effective and efficient delivery of
social work interventions to target clientele. The activity will also be highlighted with learning sessions from
pool of experts on the trends and updates particularly the newly enacted child-related laws that will be
beneficial for social workers in its widest dissemination and implementation strategies vis-à-vis its
applicability in the performance of roles and functions and designing of programs and services.
Objectives:
1. Adopt best practice in handling and managing court-related cases;
2. Enhance competencies, values, styles and skills in handling child witness, CICL, child abuse and
other cases in court;
3. Heighten level of knowhow of the newly enacted child-related laws applicable in the field of practice,
both in the community-based and center-based;
4. Learn implementation strategies established to be effective and efficient in dealing with clients with
individualized needs;
5. Improve current practice in direct service setting.
